will post more later.. have to go eat something.. amazing how my whole schedule is thrown out the window to get some work done before it gets dark
not sure if it's going to be rain proof or not but we also tried this paint on some cheese cloth and I painted a skull with it.. works great!! I added water and some acrylic clear paint to the mix and dipped the cheese cloth in it.. wow is it bright green!! http://wildfirefx.com/products...
Is that the only speed on the coffin door? Do you set up the yard pretty much the same way every year or do you mix it up? I know every year you add some new things. My daughter is all creeped out just from the pics
no there is a high and low speed.. just like your wipers on the car.. the big stuff usually goes back to the same places every year.. all the tombstones & small guys go where ever we feel like putting them.. I usually grab a pile of them and toss them all over the yard to do some sort of even placement .. where we know there is not a big thing going later on.. a bunch of the electronic props go out last min.. or not at all if it rains.. two years ago poor Randy was determined to keep them out between the rain stopping and starting and was running in and out all day.. even though I told him to just leave the stuff inside.. he was persistent
here is what we decided to do with the dollar store pumpkins.. this led light string is battery run.. turn it on... it runs for 6 hours and turns off by it's self.. and will turn it's self back on at the same time the next day.. we are going to put it on the random blink setting... rather than the steady on.. we used these at christmas and they ran for a week before the batteries died
these are the two glow in the dark paints I used on the dollar store skulls.. the one on the right is the base coat... left one is the lines that are puffy
shot with the lights on
and with a tiny led black light (sorry they are a bit fuzzy.. had to hold the 9 volt battery on the led and take the shot)
the mausoleum is going up tomorrow.. so we are not done yet.. but here is a preview of the lights so far.. sorry the audio is so low.. guess I have to crank it to video with the iphone.. will use the camcorder once we are done
you know when it's not good that you are right.. well the fabric dye was too weak to be effective.. even after being soaked for 3 days.. sigh.. but the wildfire paint.. even though it might not be waterproof... is fantastic!!.. looks like our mechanical ghost we bought last year .. Randy and I both agreed we found there secret for painted pliable fabric
