I didn't even know I wanted vincas until I read your note to 227! I'll take whatever's leftover, but no biggie.

All of my lilies are looking great, but only two of my purple alliums are coming up. They just don't last that long in my clay.

Interestingly, though, the white alliums are doing great and multiplying. But they're now multiplying in awkward spots so I need to dig them up. I don't think this is a good time of the year to be transplanting them, so I'll be offering a couple of them at the fall swap, if anyone's interested!

I'd love to have some calls, but I don't have any place to put them!

I'm putting my handful of calla bulbs into pots, Rick! That'll make them easier to find and "lift in fall" too. We ordered Capain Ventura and Cherry Kiss, and if I'm remembering correctly they're both short/compact varieties.

Honey, grow them in a pot. Ultimately best in a vase.

The leaves are so pretty, too... I think they'd be a good "filler" when they aren't being a "thriller."

David, did you see that Jill had some Rose of Sharon seedlings up for grabs and others have mentioned Lily of the Valley? I was surprised that I didn't see your name requesting those LOL. I love all three, so I am definitely on Pat's side for keeping them ha ha ha.

Terri - been thinking of you - pulled numerous Burning Bush, Rose of Sharon, and Vinca plants today. Did not pull any Lily of the Valley, some things are too sacred here.

Critter, those are annual vincas, right? I haven't heard that the perennial ones come in those colors.

Gardening in light rain isn't bad, although yesterday I realized it would have been really stupid of me to keep hacking at an azalea stump with a solid metal digging bar when there was lightening.

Please give Tara a chance to respond about the lilies. Since her daughter lives in Towson she could probably arrange for her to get them.

Yes, I was talking about annual vinca flowers. But I have a goodly supply of Vinca minor and variegated Vinca major -- either of which makes a nice "spiller" in a container. :-)

Jan, it would be great if we could "relay" the lily bulbs to Tara rather than trying to ship them! Not to worry - the "extra" bulbs I've been offering (that Lisa said she'd take) are not the ones on Tara's order. Definitely hoping Tara still wants her 55 lilies!

Anyone interested in a teenager size Mock Orange? I've given it at least 3 years and as adorable as its blooms are - I'm not detecting much of any scent. It's gotta go...
