AnnaZ said:Well, I just finished Day 6 of 130 cows and 27 calves. 3 more days to go. No, I don't have to milk all the cows myself. It takes 3 of us 2 hours. I just have to give the calves their bottles, one of the guys gives them bedding and their calf starter. Still takes time, tho.

AnnaZ said:After we got back from the farm this morning we went and tore out a fence. I had to wrap a chain around 25 wooden fence posts and he lifted them out with the end loader. Of course, that involved TONS of walking on my part. Whe we pulled the steel posts, I drove the tractor and ran the bucket up to pull them out and he wrapped the chain. I would imagine there were 150 or so steel posts. Then we had to unload them back here at home.
Now, it's off for the evening milking and calf feeding.
