I puttered in the garden yesterday, set up the bird baths, had to scrape a lot of last years crud off, that was a chore. Set up the fountain but no water yet as we still get lots of frost at night, like last night was 30F. Put my garden ornament out and about the yard. Decided to put out a Hummingbird feeder in case they show up early because of all the great weather we have had, the trees are all budding.

ViolaAnn said:But not walking today. It's still pretty cold and I seem to be getting a cold as well. Can't complain as I've not had one in a couple of years and it doesn't seem to be a very bad one, but I decided not to bundle up just to walk.

Best to stay warm inside.

Funny little cold. A bit of a rattly cough, but otherwise I feel OK. No real other cold symptoms either, but it's more of a cold cough than an allergy cough. Anyway, orchestra rehearsal tonight. Last full rehearsal before next week's concert.

I'm glad you're not too sick, Ann.

We went to the gym and exercised for an hour.

It's rare for us to go to the gym two days in a row, but we went again today. It's such a dark, dreary, miserable rainy day, and nothing else to do, so we went and exercised.

Yesterday I did housework in the morning then got to spend the afternoon in the garden, got one large bed done, cut the edge, then used my gold claw cultivator to loosen the dirt with the grass and weeds, then picked the grass and weeds out, and reshaped the edge of the bed.

Bad weather today. We scrapped the 5 km walk with hill in favour of a much shorter one just under 2.25 km. There was a bit of snow and freezing rain over night and by the time we started it was just above freezing and raining. We'll do the longer walk next week.

Pool is now open again; so we won't be walking on Wed. and Fri. - I'll be back to aquafit, but I think we'll organize a walk for Thursday morning.

I woke up with a muscle spasm in my leg this morning so I won't be doing much of anything today, just resting and icing it.

Something went wonky with my lower right back yesterday afternoon, it was very painful all evening, Serge massaged the area and that helped, it is quite a bit better this morning as long as I don't bend too far to the right. This may mess up my gardening today. Sighing!

Karen, I hope we both get over our ailment fast, so annoying. My leg had a twinge of a spasm this morning in bed. I don't understand this cramping bit, my feet do it almost daily, especially if I kneel down and sit on my heels, it's like OUCH and I have to get out of that position, and in the evening just sitting in my recliner with my feet up, what's with that?, it is very painful. Angry Grumbling

I know what you mean. Now that I've had this spasm, my leg will likely stay sore for almost a week.

The SU must have decided he had enough of looking at all that cement in the foundation of the garage that burned a year ago. He's been busting out the walls with the end loader, and I imagine that the floor will be next. He's hauling it off to use as "fill" in a ditch. I go help him get the log chain on the pieces and hook it up to the tractor so he can pull it. And off he goes, and usually with a couple of "slabs" in the bucket too.

When he gets back we'll have lunch. A nice grilled top sirloin. Yum.
