I gave the old goat a BIG glass of white wine...before dinner....before he even saw it

it was that --or the combo of that mixed with his prostate shrinking meds ..-- but he had no idea it was meatless. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

PLUS I have been restricting the access to POUNDS of Chico chip cookies that he sneaks in " I got these for YOU Honey Bunny " 😏😏🙄🙄
So when he saw his very own slim piece of crunchy top honey pound cake fixed by his very own Honey Bunny....he clearly was overwhelmed

So

Well yup. I am such a bad cook that the only way I would have that is if I could buy them pre made or if someone invited me to diner. Hilarious!

I'm a pretty good cook, but it just looks like too much work, I would like someone to make them and invite me to dinner too. Hilarious! Probably wouldn't be as good frozen.

Busy go of things, and the past two days saw quick and easy in the kitchen: A zappable but lamentable Tei Pei chicken and broccoli that wasn't much improved with scallions and garlic (yet the remaining potato leek soup took the sting out of the disappointment and abated the hunger) and last night pizza for one zipped up a bit.

Tonight was a different story. Dinner for three was very good. It was a take on stir-fried pork and veggies over rice, yet the pork was big pieces of a chop, floured, fried, and reserved for addition after the veggies got started. The veggies, onions and peppers and some wonderful mushrooms. The sauce is one I should remember: soy, olive oil, fresh minced garlic, onion powder, a touch of oregano and the juice of a lime. It was yum. And the compliments reminded me that a bit of effort is well worth it.
