JB said:The Windows 7 was corrupted by something that Microsoft had no answer for. Could have been a virus at one time or anything really. The mouse problem was in addition to that. In fact I had the mouse problem since July and the windows 7 problem just popped up a few weeks ago.

For future reference ... just in case you experience a problem with your new mouse ... often problems with computer mice ... is that the right word ??? ... is that they need to be cleaned periodically. There is a little ball in the mouse and you open the compartment on the back of the mouse and clean out all of the debris that managed to get in there. Mine gets loaded with cat hair ...
