As I understand, open for this thread means anyone can post about what makes/;made them sad.

I am sad for my husband and his siblings for the passing of their Mother, my MIL on this past Wednesday, the 17th. I am not sad that she is at peace and not lingering in pain. Lovey dubby

I am sad to have lost a fellow plumeria lover, whom I met several times while in California. He was a kind and generous man. He was only 71.

Just this week I learned of the passing of a high school classmate, which brought up memories of our days growing up.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Kinda interesting when we lose a GOOD friend, a BFF, or, even a classmate, we can have such a deep feeling of loss.
The memories we share of them are so much different than the ones shared with a family member.

My BFF and I have been 'buds to the bone' for over 55 years .. we were kids when we met .. if something were to happen to her, I dare say I would be extremely shaken .. which is why we see each other weekly if not more ..
Cousins I see maybe yearly, or, if there's a funeral Shrug!

My Thanks to you all for your kind thoughts. My MIL was 86, and unfortunately most of life's pleasures and joys were no longer open to her.

Jean, my sympathies for the loss of your friend. Group hug
