I firmly believe you can find anything on Amazon. And I'm pretty sure they ship to other countries! I'm still waiting for a drone to deliver a package to my house.

I think it would be cool if a drone was flying over and the Hawk attacked it. As long as I could get video and go viral. That would be awesome!

I took a few bird photos today. Mostly because the birds were being loud and taking pictures seems to drive them away.

Here's the Cardinal that makes video game noises. Pew, pew, pew!



Then, this Crow started yelling up a storm. Mind you, it flew toward me. I clearly saw it come from my neighbor's yard over to my tree. So it had no reason to be yelling, in my opinion.

Noisy birds...pew, pew pew...

That's the noise it makes! Like when you're playing "Star Wars" and you have to make sounds for your laser blaster.

They do say pew, pew, pew. Melanie, wait until they say cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger. I always finish them with, "coke, no coke, pepsi."

That's just too cute.

I schlepped the tripod and "real" camera out into the garden this morning in an effort to capture some good butterfly shots. Naturally, no butterflies were present but this little Carolina Wren visited just as I was taking everything back into the house = made the trip worthwhile!



I had a bluejay and a red-bellied woodpecker battling over the feeder yesterday. Going to hope to get pictures of that today. So far, the woodpecker won! He has the longer beak even though the bluejay is bigger. There are four feeders out there, so nobody's going hungry anyway.

Stunning, Elaine! Love the detail, your wrens are definitely prettier than ours (although I'm hugely fond of our wrens).

Elaine - I just got pictures of a Carolina wren today, too! I ate lunch on the back patio and brought my zoom lens out.

Then a downy woodpecker. At least I think it's the downy. We get both the hairy and downy and sometimes I have trouble telling them apart.

Looks like a downy to me, Lori - nice shot! I think the hairy woodpeckers have a longer beak.

I love watching the wrens. I have some Carolina Wrens that come to the feeders. I am hearing several very noisy House Wrens in the neighbors yard. I love hearing them and all their chatter!

@dyzzypyxxy and @LoriK, Such pretty wrens! The ones I've seen around here are much lighter unless I've just seen females.

Lori, you got it right, it is a female Downy Woodpecker.

Wow, Lori and Kurt, more brilliant photos! Our wrens look more like your house wrens, your Carolina wrens are more exotic looking. We have some wrens nesting in the apex of a thatched porch roof outside our sitting-room. They've nested there for the last three years; I'll try to get a photo of the babies if I get a chance.
