Beautiful! And you just reminded me of how much I love SECRET WEEKEND! That is a must-have for me now! And I have MERRY AMIGO but it hasn't bloomed for me yet. And MANGO ENTREE looks really wonderful and bright too!

They sure are pretty. Betty, you always have the most stunning iris. I must say that very first one, ADOREE has the most stunning color combo. Just Lovely. I am pretty sure I don't have any Blyth iris. I know I don't have any of the ones in any of these pictures posted.

Thanks Rita! I love the Blyth irises because they're all so different -- and of course I could say that about any of the other hybridizers too. But Barry Blyth has put the most interesting combinations together, and ADOREE is a prime example of that. Plus I really love the wide falls and ruffles too...

They are also easier to grow in your climate, rather than in the northeast. He has a lot of good IBs & dwarfs.

I think you're right, Lucy. I pretty much have good luck with his, Joe Ghio's, Sutton's, Napa Country's and Superstition's irises (all in California except for Barry Blyth), and I guess maybe his climate in Australia might be pretty similar to ours here because I have pretty good luck with quite a few of his. And I don't have as good luck with the irises grown in the colder climates, unfortunately. I really love the Keppel irises too, and luckily some of them do just fine for me. But they certainly don't make large clumps.

Ya'll photos are gorgeous! I think what I like most about the Blyth iris is how full they look. I always think of them resembling a lion looking at you, regal face and a full mane:lol: Weird huh? :LOL:
