I think you're right, Lucy. I pretty much have good luck with his, Joe Ghio's, Sutton's, Napa Country's and Superstition's irises (all in California except for Barry Blyth), and I guess maybe his climate in Australia might be pretty similar to ours here because I have pretty good luck with quite a few of his. And I don't have as good luck with the irises grown in the colder climates, unfortunately. I really love the Keppel irises too, and luckily some of them do just fine for me. But they certainly don't make large clumps.
