Betty, I have Oxford Countess, and have been nursing it along for 3 years. It did bloom once, and now it just struggles to survive. It may just be one of those that are not thrifty.

I know -- but isn't it a beautiful flower? There are some I love so much that I just keep adding rhizomes to keep them going -- DECADENCE is a beautiful example of that. But since I've found Joe Ghio's SPECTACLE, that is my replacement for DECADENCE.

OXFORD COUNTESS, first at Keith Keppel's and then later the one time it bloomed for me.

TRULY WICKED - Another once-bloomer for me -- but I think it's divine!

Tom I really liked Enter The Dragon the Brown Beards set it apart from everything else and Mid America was growing Samarak and Road as well as Oxford Countess but small quanities maybe next year they will have some for sale. I liked Rogue Trader as well but everywhere I saw the plants they looked really small that scares me our winters are rough and if it is struggling in Oregon it will not like the midwest in winter.

Betty Schreiners was growing Truly Wicked it might be a couple years before it's in the catalog but they had a nice clump going.

Keith Keppel has had the biggest selection. I don't know if it will change next year. When people here ordered directly from Tempo Two we got a multiple person order together.

Thanks, I have ordered some lovely Blyth from Dee, Ghio and Superstition, but I haven't seen several of these anywhere. I'm new to your forum, so don't know if I can ask this, but does anyone ever trade iris? (Sorry if I offended anyone!) Would love to trade for some of these blyth.

I grow a few Blyth iris but am to lazy to dig, trim, wash, and ship in a trade but there is no harm done in your asking. There may be several interested. Anyway, welcome welcome to our ever growing group. Thumbs up

I think Keith Keppel always has the newest ones each year, so if you want the newest you should try Keith. But it'll probably cost you $$ and I think they'll be too new for anyone to have some to trade. I'm with Paul on trading -- can't keep up with everything as it is.

Try Mid America Gardens as well they have a good selection of his and next year I think they will have even more. But if you are looking for something right now Joe Ghio is still shipping and a lot of my pictures are from His garden or Keppels.

Hi JD. Welcome to our little corner of the world. Green Grin!

Trades and exchanges are not a problem here. Iris for postage can be a problem, as there are scammers who join the group just to get free Irises that they can then sell. As long as you're not one of those, you're good -- and no one is going to be offended!

Hi JD!

Yes it's best to get the Keppel catalogue. They really are not that expensive or some of the Bltyth he has that are a few years old. Plus the bonuses are great!

I will trade, but I don't have many Blyth yet, but I'm changing that.

Ghio has this deal where you can send him an amount of money, and he'll pack you a box of goodies. You can suggest a smaller amount of high end, or lots of older rhizomes. I haven't tried it yet, but have been tempted. Kind of a grab bag.

Oh I like the idea of the grab bag. i can sit and stare at pictures for hours, and make pages and pages of lists, and get so overwhelmed that I don't order anything. I just don't want to forget a really good one. Crazy, I know.
I went to get new glasses today, and I deliberately picked a shop that had a real limited selection. There were only 3 pair I liked, so I was in and out in no time. Choosing wallpaper puts me in such a spin that I about pull my hair out. i just learned to turn that over to someone else. That's what I think I'm going to have to do with iris. I love them all, and I sure can't afford them all! (although I would sell just about anything I own to buy more iris, I love them that much. :tongue_smilie:)
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

I think my two Blyth that I fell in love with this year was Electric Candy and Prince of Hearts. Could not believe, I won Prince of Hearts as a door prize with the club and Electric Candy I received from Keith as a bonus....I am one really happy camper.

Great pictures Aruba as always...
