I made up one semp using the label that I created. I know we've talked about me tweeking it using a photo of my own but I haven't got that far yet and probably won't until summer break. I just wanted to see how it looked. I think it turned out better than I thought it would.
@valleylynn, THANKS! I needed to hear that..... I love it because I can affix the label to a can to make it work after punching a few holes for drainage.
I love it Chad, you did a great job. It would be cool to add 2 or 3 little chicks following behind the hen. I think your idea would be a hit on the market why not try to sale a few and recoup on some of the money you spent on your collection so far. You never know you could be the next chick charms.

That's what I was thinking. I think they're really popular around here and I got to thinking it would be a good way for me to downsize if they start outgrowing their space and to allow me to purchase planters and additional things that I need. I'm not looking to get rich but it solves a problem I could run into. I also like it because if I use metal (food) cans, I'm not going to be out any money for those because it's allowing me to re-purpose something that's readily available and people just throw them out. Plus, they come in many different sizes. I'm really liking the possibilities I have.
Plus, I like your ideas to add the little baby chicks....
I forgot to tell everyone another funny thing about my semps. When I told you guys that the flower shop/nursery in town mentioned them on their FB page, now I have my brothers kindergarten teacher wanting to stop by and check all of them out. It's funny because she is in her 80's and she eats lunch at the nutrition center here in town. She's been telling my aunt at lunch that she saw them on FB and she wants to come by and look at them. I'm like, I'm spreading this new addiction to Oklahoma, lol! They're going to catch on in no time.
I finally got around to taking a few pictures of the semps in my yard so I could share them with my Texas neighbor. I hope everyone else enjoys them as well.....
These are some other leftover ones that I've had from here and there.
These are offsets from the next picture and when it got a little full, I put them in this pot.
These are the ones that got me started and I got them from my mom. After they started doing good at my home, I started to check into other ones to grow my collection.
Some leftovers I've had from last year and just recently repotted.
More extras, hahaha.....
I wish these were doing a bit better.
