Lynn and Chad yep they are only 1 foot high rather than the usual 2 feet... Mine though are 6 feet long, although I've seen them 3 feet long, still think they would be too heavy to move easily once full
Daniel that planter seems good but pricey, you can often find things at Goodwill or other second hand stores.
I've used glass lamp shades for pots they worked great!

I know I normally ramble on about my plants and bombard everyone with questions but I've been multitasking this week working on state testing at school, projects around the house which include way to many things to list. I've almost finished one project and I think it turned out really good and I had to share it with the group! Here is a before and after pic! Enjoy.....

I've got a few things planted today. I took a hubcap laying by a broke down truck at my brothers place and cleaned it up. The largest one was about 7 inches across and I have been really impressed. These are the ones that I started out with before I purchased anything else. They are the green ones that everyone has, lol..... But they are the largest ones I have at the moment. It turned out really nice after I painted it this past week. I also got a smaller washbin for about $7 and got it all situated. I'm not going to paint it though. I'm just going to leave it alone. My semps are started to fill in nicely with new growth all over.

I finally got outside to take an updated photo of Pepito. I love the color changes I'm seeing plus the growth. Hurray! Before it had a more purple color to it now as spring rolls around, it's developing this different color that really stands out. Sometimes I don't think the camera does them justice, lol.... I'm so excited because Pepito is not only growing but having about 15 little ones altogether between the 4 semps that I have. Yay....... Thumbs up

I was trying to come up with a label I could use to put on my plants as they begin to multiply. It'll probably be something I do for next year (Spring 2018) because I think by then they'll be filling out with plenty to share. I thought it would be cool to put them into a used food can that has holes in it for drainage until the person can transfer it to the area they want to plant it in.
I worked on this tonight using some rustic font I found and an image I had to clip and crop. I think this will turn out really good. Keep in mind, I'm not going to do 500 of them because I know the ink costs could get out of hand. I hated to scribble all over my photo but I hate to think of those Ebay lurkers coming around stealing photos that they didn't create, lol... What does everyone think? I wanted to find a better sempervivum photo to use but I wasn't having much luck finding one. I'll have to keep looking around but this is my rough draft so far. Smiling
