Look at my pics in the database. The early shots I took have a definite purple tip, the later shots are brown tipped and have red at the hafts. I posted comparisons somewhere else, but here they are again: http://garden.org/thread/view_...

There is a real difference which I let Robyn know about as well. The amount of stitching increases too, which Robyn already mentioned. She sent mine in fall of 2015 (as a bonus) so it bloomed on and off between the end of March to the end of bloomtime (early June). It was both my first and my last iris bloom of the spring.

My stars, my stars! I planted more than 100 irises this year and haven't had a single bud or bloom. Now, magically, I have buds on two different plants!! Here's hoping for blooms!!

I have a rebloom! Over And Over Opened today and looked lovely in the sun. It is sort of it's swan song though because it has no increases. Sighing!

Thumb of 2016-10-29/Lestv/737877 I had not known it had diamond dusting until today.

I also have flowering quince about 3 months early ?!!

Lovely bloom Leslie. It will make increases next spring.

Leslie, my Again and Again is starting to set stalks. 3 of 4 remaining rhizomes are showing tonight. I placed a LED flashlight behind it and noticed the silhouette and the leaves are seperating. It's bloomed in pots last fall, this spring AND hopefully this fall again. Not a great increaser at all though.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Leslie, I had a few quince flowers a couple of weeks ago. I was quite surprised, too.

Gabe - Again and Again lives up to it's name. I think this is the first year I may not have a fall bloom, but then it is still early for it. It really likes Thanksgiving for blooming at my house.

Oh yeah! I see what you mean... I thought you were going from Jan's pictures, but clearly, you're right... big difference.. How cool that you noticed that.

Robin,
'Anything Goes' reblooms for me... One of my Iris neighbors came by when it was in bloom and exclaimed, "I hate that one!"... Well, I love it.. to each his own.. (and I like him well enough that he can get away with saying that about one of my children Hilarious! )

We had a singer/songwriter from near Melbourne on the radio show today.. Have you ever heard of Daniel Champagne? Nice kid, and really talented..

Thank You! Thanks everyone for the thumbs.

I didn't know that "Anything Goes" can rebloom but it doesn't surprise me because it is a strong performer. I've never had an iris rebloom in my garden so I will give "Anything Goes" some extra love over the summer and autumn and see what happens. Thanks for the info Sherry.

I've never heard of Daniel Champagne. I just had a quick read about him and he's played at some music festivals I attended in my younger years. It's nice to hear that some local talent is getting air time overseas.

How can anyone hate Anything Goes? It is such a stunner. Ah well, as Sherry said - to each their own.

Love your Circus Stripes pics. Gotta love the stripes!
