Sounds like I am not the only bulbaholic here!

I was at Lowe's yesterday and no fall bulbs yet. They should be arriving at the stores soon. Should be 100 here today.

I have two grape crates full of daffodil bulbs that came out of the rebloomer bed. I have to get some of them replanted. I'll only need 1/4 of them to replant. I'll have to figure out what to do with the rest. Probably give them away with my extra iris.

Does this look like a bloom stalk?

Yes it does Lindsay but you will know for certain if you feel the stalk and you can feel a bulge.

Robin-I went out in the dark to check it out. It's definitely a bloom stalk. I'm so excited

It looks like it is trapped in the large leaf. I don't think I'd try to free it because they are very delicate at that stage and you might snap it off trying to free it. Just let it do it on it's own.

I don't know whether to call this post "Those amazing rebloomers" or "Those ^#*@%*$ rebloomers". Just planted the rebloomer bed on Tuesday and my wife spotted this today.



Again and Again has been our most consistent reblooming TB.
I don't know whether to leave it or plant another. Probably plant another. I have about 8 more.

Nice looking bed! Pity to dig up such an eager re-bloomer, but then if you do, you are more likely to have a bloom in spring too...

I know a place where extra bulbs would be loved and appreciated.

I'm shopping for some daffodil's and I don't recall which ones do better in our heat. Can anyone recommend other bulbs that are critter resistant, drought tolerant... and that do well in our heat (besides amaryllis).

Surprise lilies (flowering now) and agapanthus africanus do well here in S France (zone 10a). Oh, and have you thought about irises?

If I lived in your zone, I would go for Fritillaria persica (purple and/or white). They are really showy, but I struggle to make them survive here for more than one or two seasons, because they like hot and dry climates.

I just buy what's on sale at Lowe's.

Rob, there's a discussion on the Spring Bulbs 2016 thread right now about bulbs for hot places - there's something called false freesia or freesia laxa, which I don't know but is really pretty (sorry I don't remember how to link from another thread, although Deb has told me at least twice! ) And apparently erythroniums do well (they do need shade, but oh ).

Went to OSH today and they have their bulbs out.
