Just another few pics, as I did go out later and the blooms were better! Plus there is another.... Another sibling of Starsearch X Sexy Sally, which produced those pale yellow ones I loved, on the first seedling. This is FFO for this sibling.

That new one, Galaxy Explosion X Firestorm, opened beautifully. It's sibs are golden yellow outside the eye, and this is dark and very much taller, has a branching scape with several other buds on it:

@GaNinFl and @needrain, I had them switched and backwards in that post; the one you liked is actually Flutterbye X Lavender Curls, and I also find it extra appealing! Sorry for the mixup, again! Sticking tongue out

Nice seedlings!
Sandi, that has to be exciting for your first seedling. Really nice.
Kyla, you have some really nice seedling and one that is surprising from the cross it came from.
I think Lavender Curls makes some interesting babies and I have used it for about 4 years.
Welcome Okietetlover from some other Okies probably just on the other side of OKC from you. Your doubles are very nice. Not very many people on the seedling form posing doubles Thumbs up .

How about something wierd. This Violet Cockatoo seedling has these two branches that look like several fused together. I have not seen anything quite like it on a daylily. It is a pure white that sometimes shows a faint grey pencil mark halo. Not sure this will bloom out too well.

Lisa, that's pretty big! I can see why you call it Purple Monster now. Maybe someday if you sell fans of it, I'll replace my current seedling (from a local hybridizer). It is purple with a cream midrib, also, but I think it only measures about 6", if I recall correctly.

That is a "Fascinated" scape. I have had several of those and mine bloomed like crazy with lots of blooms. My fascinated scapes have always been on fulva, it will be interesting to see what the blooms look like on a seedling.

Here is the last seedling with a scape to bloom. Using two old cultivars. I was curious about what 'Milady Greensleeves' would bring to the table because it's such a neutral color itself and for several other reasons, so I used the pollen and obtained seeds from a lot of the attempts. I worked diligently to be sure and tag its crosses so I could track them. Here's (Coral Crab X Milady Greensleeves). Two blooms and both are a bit larger than the blooms on either parent which are both blooming today. That may mean the bloom time here may be correct, which would make it a later blooming plant here. Really a pleasant, quiet bloom.

Donald I have the same cross "thanks to you" but no scapes this year, how big was your flowers on this one and did you cross it with anything?

I had a seedling bloom today that I really like. It looks similar to one I have seen pictures of, but I can't recall its name. I have lost the cross, so don't know the parents. This would have bloomed last year, but the goats ate all the buds. I did get two prolifs.

Instant rebloom.
Thumb of 2016-06-17/GDJCB/94309a
One of the prolifs I planted next to the plant last fall has a scape.
Thumb of 2016-06-17/GDJCB/3cc81c
Nice thick scape, with decent branching.
Thumb of 2016-06-17/GDJCB/5cacda
I really like the look of this bloom, picture taken about 4 pm, it's hard to tell in the pic, but the out side edge is a bluish/grey color, it looks great.
