You do know that you only get one acorn per entry for a bloom shot, one per entire plant shot, etc. so if you add multiple bloom shots to a single entry, only once counts for the acorn, if you are into collecting them. I personally usually limit myself to my favorite shots, I add details now to get the acorns. Not that I need anymore. Rolling my eyes.

Well, there are people that have lots more entries than I do, Especially you Sue. No one is even close the the amount of entries you do. And yes, I do know that I am not getting acorns for entries were I had already had a picture. But still, since I keep adding the acorns do go up as I hit new entries. The thing with the acorns is that it got me to start adding to the database when I would never have done so otherwise.

Well OK, just wanted to make sure you weren't on a big roll for the acorns and missed that point! The database can be addictive! I have three members adding details all weekend long. Yesterday I had over 500 daylily proposals, I only got through about a third of them and this morning they were back up to over 400. Guess the bad weather is keeping some people inside. Hilarious!
Probably 3/4 of my photos entries were done over at Cubits for roses and daylilies over the course of the year.

It's easy to get carried away. I have about 10,000 rose photos, but I've only posted a fraction of them because I don't want to post a bunch of images on the same page that all look pretty much alike. And when we were in Cubits, if Sue had already posted her beautiful photos for an entry, I didn't post mine. I want people to see different aspects of a rose, not the same aspect over and over again.

Zuzu - That's why I don't post a lot (mainly because I don't have a 10th of what y'all have). But if there's a billion images for a rose, I'm not going to add mine 'cuz mine looks identical to everyone else's unless there's something specifically different about mine. That plus I don't spend that much time on the computer on the weekends (too busy doing outside stuff.. it was so gorgeous this weekend, especially on sunday where it was in the mid 60s! Planted 2 trees (put a Goldenrain Tree over Osiris) and transplanted 10 roses from the west side of my house to the east side of the house were they'll get way more sun than where they were) and I forget my camera a lot when I'm at work..

excuses excuses!! :D :D :D

BTW, what *are* these "proposals" I keep seeing people get?

Proposals are submitted for database details for moderator review and approval. I currently have over 400 proposals to go through for daylily details. Big Grin Blinking Got at least 3 gals going at 'em big time, I can't keep up. Shrug!

Well, Zuzu pretty much has the rose details covered for the most part, you can look at the existing ones to see how they are done and then do one that doesn't have any details on it yet. Adding more than just a zone is more helpful of course, like the hybridizer, intro year, color, class, etc. Zuzu adds anything that may be missing for any given proposal.

Sue - Ah, groovy! I wouldn't have a clue as to ninety percent of that stuff anyways. But I can always put in what I see as height/spread/scent/bloom frequency/zone, blah blah blah Smiling
