What rose blooms longest for you, Rita?

If you mean which would have the longest spring flush it will definately be LAVAGLUT. Amazing rose that stays and stays. Not like a three day wonder Austin which all blow in three days. But some never stop blooming like my THE FAIREY. Then there are my CHERRY SUNBLAZE roses. The start blooming and some are still blooming now and were never out of bloom.

Yes, Rita, that's what I was looking for ....continuous bloom. Thanks!

Deffinately Cherry Sunblaze and also Carefree Delight which is a single flowered rose. THE FAIREY is a small flowered rose but I really love it. I also had flower carpet APPLEBLOSSOM which was always in bloom but then I moved it and it still has not gotten over the move.

If my roses looked like yours do Rita, I wouldn't change a thing either!

My longest blooming rose this summer was/is Red Cascade. It has never been without blooms all through the drought even though it rarely got watered. It is still covered! The Fairy and Carefree Delight do exceptionally well here too.

Mardi Gras. Constant blooms from the time that they start blooming until hard frost/freezing weather kills it. Right now there's probably about 25 blooms on that poor bush right now.. just in time for the snow.

Sweet!!! I never did get that one replaced after I lost the one in Florida. Every time I ordered it from Sequoia or Nor'East, they'd either send me the wrong rose or say it was suddenly sold out. I ultimately gave up. Crying

Will have to work on getting one rooted. I just potted it up into a bigger pot until I decide where to put it, the roots were surprisingly quite small, as is the whole bush actually. Perfect for a pot I guess so it may stay in one.

Aren't they, though? They're very happy today, since it was only about 82.

Gorgeous! I love seeing all the new growth that's sprouting on all the roses right now, and new basal shoots. So exciting!

If you could only see my yard, you'd laugh! What a mess!!! I do try to make the most of the occasional really nice bloom... But I do not have the beautiful gardens like everyone else has. I can only do so much, and right now I'm all about -- PLANTING! Yuck!

Mike (CalSurf) - if you get the chance to buy Scentimental, do it!! It's a gorgeous rose that's very generous with huge blooms in crappy conditions like mine.. I can only imagine what it'd do in an area like yours!!

The rose blooms are really pretty, Betty. I really especially like the first two. I always love red roses and the golden color on the other is striking. I don't know about not calling your yard pretty. I have seen pictures of your iris beds in bloom and it was just stunning! Big Grin Do you have a seperate area for your roses? I can't envision were they are in relation to that hill of iris blooms that I have seen pictures of.
