I was thinking my few @ 5" and maybe one @ 5.75" wasn't worthy, but now I want to get a few shots of those tomorrow. This is fun! Hurray! I'm so into the big semps, I can't wait till some of my new ones get big!
Awesome thread, Bev! Hurray!

Thanks Tim for reminding/translating that for everyone. Tim is such a goodwill ambassador! nodding

This truly is a fun thread. When I get back home in a couple weeks I will go out and see what my current largest one is. I have no idea right now.

Terri, didn't you get a 'Persephone'? That one will get huge as a mature rosette, so give it plenty of room to grow.

All my really big ones have bloomed so they are dried up and no longer big...with our sun it happened really fast! I tip my hat to you. We're not used to anything other than partly cloudy here in Seattle but for a few weeks now we have had cloudy mornings and then sunny afternoons Thumbs up

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that Greg. I wonder whether that will happen with the few that I have...
And in your honor, I am going to submit this one that you gave me after the clinic, It has grown a little and still looks great even in my possession:

Grammens

Yeah baby, yeah! Hurray! I did get a 'Persephone'! I am so jazzed about the potential size of this one!
I know how you feel Greg. My 'Virgil' and several others were really big before blooming. 'Old Copper' took the prize. Before blooming it was just under 8". It's potted counterpart was nowhere near as large.

'Lynn's Choice' seemed to go wider than 7. Wonder how big Jolly can get. My Jolly was the reason I "carved out a small piece" of condo land to accommodate that sucker. Thanks Julia for showing those off! Smiling

I'll get out to the back to the back to take some pics. That's where 'Othello' and 'Grammens' are! Those are already acclimated and growing well!

Finally got some pics. 'Vlado' has shrunk quite a bit since it starting producing chicks. I don't like the fact that the chicks are so tight underneath the hen.....not sure how I'm going to get them off without destroying the hen.

This one has also shrunk since spring, but still pretty big. 'Anak Krakatau'

Thanks for those numbers, Chris! Never noticed shrinking of size with having offsets; will have to be on the lookout just to see this.
And the positioning of those offsets are crazy; it's like they are on the first floor and mom has been moved to the 2nd...

I don't want 'Vlado' anywhere near my garden. She'll take over!
I've had some of these double-decker semps too. 'Greenii' and 'Zepherin' for example.

I guess they'll work it out by themselves given enough time.
