@dirtdorphins You can quote the image and the post from the old thread but there is not a one click way to do so....
You will have to be a little familiar with coding and how to get the image file, etc..
the caterpillar is at the lower right of the image. Thumbs up

Hi folks! Just found this thread, and thought I would share a few photos. I'm just learning about all the insects in my garden. After going organic, I have seen an influx of all sorts of wonderful insects and spiders. I'm finding new things all the time!

This guy is cute. Maybe a young grasshopper?

Can anyone ID this spider? A cute tiny one, it's iridescent.

I think this is a female Eastern Pondhawk dragonfly. She blends right in with the green foliage of the daylilies.

Hmm...I didn't know that. Someone might want to mention that on the Site Talk Forum. Dave always has ways of "fixing" features we want and that seems like a good one.

Ronnie, that last fly thing has a face that looks like something out of one of my dad's sci-fi shows!

I think this looks like a jumping spider, maybe a young Naphys pulex. Not sure though.

Scarewee fellow... Blinking I don't know what it is but it what big chompers it has! Could it be a flying insect that lost its wings? Reminds me of a dobson fly or fishfly.

oops--yeah, those brackets are important

no one said: purple rhino elevator

okay, so I'm pretty sure no one ever said that before--so I guess you can put anything in a 'quote box'
but how do you get the image file, Goat? the only way I would know how to do it is to click on the image and download it and then re-up load it, because once the thread is locked I don't know how to bring up the code for the image (and that is way too much of a hassle to bother with)

really though, you can quote from one thread to another, quite easily just with copy/paste, if it is not locked, like this

No really, it looks like a beetle wearing a skirt. It's a cross-dressing Beetle. Buckets need to have more privacy. Hilarious!

well, you can still copy and paste, but
if I just copy/paste your first post from the last thread it does this:

____
Since the last thread was getting so long I thought I would start us a new thread. Smiling

*Reminder to click on the "watch" button.*

We came from here: The thread "Beefriends(tm) and other Garden Guests - threeeeeeeee!!" in Gardening for Butterflies, Birds and Bees forum

Bumble at Dusk
Thumb of 2016-05-26/wildflowers/867fdf
____

and if I click 'quote' to copy the code so that it can be attributed to you properly and display coded things like the link to the previous thread and emoticons and photos, then all I get is the big, red 'i' stating that the thread is locked

but Hey , guess what I just figured out???
if I put the lightbox code in around that thing not showing your picture
Thumb of 2016-05-26/wildflowers/867fdf
it does show up Hurray! Hurray!

okay, nevermind my previous question Goat!
so I guess you can copy/paste/rewrite the missing code to quote from a locked thread

still a hassle Rolling my eyes.
really I'm done with it!
please carry on with crossdressing beetles --I'm dying to know what that is Thumbs up
