Wow Tee ... that Dahlia is Awesome! You may have shown it before but I must have been on the wrong forums because I don't think I've seen that beauty! Love it! Someone told me once that Dahlias do well in Florida but I've never seen them around these parts. Sad

Charleen: Missy Mae is a pretty gal. Your Maple's are gorgeous! I might just have to order one next year and put it in a pot and see how it does. Maybe if I kept it in a shady location in the heat of summer it would do okay ... won't hurt to try I guess. They are just so pretty! Luv you pups too! Lovey dubby

Ann: I forgot to ask ... what little boy? Did I miss a little one somewhere up thread? Rolling on the floor laughing laughing at myself, I went back and looked .... LOL, I think you must have meant Charleen's little boy Chihuahua? He is a handsome fella.

That's the little boy I meant. And he's adorable. Missy Mae --- LOVE that name & I bet she's a big hugger too.
That Dahlia is something else. Lin, somewhere I have a link for southern dahlias that Dahlia provided. If I can find it (& remember to look for it Whistling ) I will send you a treemail.

The crepe myrtles across the street are blooming. There's color!

Tee: Those are just gorgeous!! Lovey dubby How tall does the plant itself get? Do they need a trellis to support those huge blooms? I know nothing about Dahlia's.

Ann: Thanks for the T-mail and link to Dahlia information!

uh oh ... I think I'm in BIG trouble. I'm gonna be dreaming about Dahlia's now that I've googled for pic's! Big Grin

Thanks. This plant is about 3 ft. tall and I do have it staked several places ... especially toward the blooms. They do get heavy. I finally decided to cut a few and see how they do.

I had said only one or two dahlias and no more here. Ummm ... I may have lied. Big Grin

Charlene, is your little dog a male or a female? I sometimes get confused easily. Big Grin

Thank you Dear. It is a late bloomer. I don't know if I'll grow Dahlias next year, Have to stake the tall ones. May have to try some small ones. The tall ones take up a lot of room.
