YES Nap! I agree
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Thanks, everyone. They were lovely. And I think the pinkish cast was probably due to the weather. It was raining lightly, and I don't like to shoot on "automatic," so maybe it was set for sun when it should have been set for clouds. Maybe. I don't know.

Wow ... I'm loving the autumn colors!

Sharon, I bet your mountains are beautiful! So, you consider 3 hours a "short" trip? LOL, 15 minutes is a short trip to me ... 3 hours and I'd have to stay awhile. Big Grin But, when I visit the mountains I never want to leave!

We don't get to see a lot in the way of colorful autumn leaves down here but we do sometimes get a little color. These are some pic's I took yesterday.

Koelreuteria elegans (Chinese Rain Tree) has pretty yellow flowers and rose colored seed pods:

Tibouchina urvilleana (Princess Flower) a few leaves turning pretty colors and the pretty purple blooms:

Oooh, I was out in the backyard taking pictures of birds at a feeder before it started getting dark and all of a sudden the Jays began raising a ruckus so I figured there was a hawk around. Anyway ... I began looking around to see if I could see a hawk and look at the beautiful trees I spotted in a neighbors yard one street over! I don't know what kind of trees they are, I tried zooming in and cropping a picture but I can't make out the leaf shape. I will have to ask her which trees she has on that side of her house. My first thought were Maple and Hickory but my Maple and Hickory's are still totally green. Usually our deciduous trees go from "with leaves" to "bare" and sometimes they will turn yellow before falling but once every ten or fifteen years we might get some nice color like this:

It's the high kicks that are the problem. She's on that skateboard, you know, and everytime she starts a kick, the board rolls away.

It's a dilemma.
