Thanks Sue. I'm going to be adding more plants this week. The tinky Cebanese is still semi dormant so I won't add anything else to that area. It helps if I had nice 4" pots of plants to start with, this time it is just bits and pieces. Next month will be fun when the Mountain Crest Gardens order come in. : )

Container pictures are great.

Chris, you have some wonderful container pictures in this thread. I was wondering if you would enter them in the Container Database. That way we won't loose them in these long threads. If you have time here is the link. I love being able to go to one place and look at them and maybe get some ideas of what I can do with some of my containers. I have and idea from one of Sues pictures above (one with the glass), only I'm going to do mine in a large farm disc. : )
Can't wait. I will enter a picture in the database when I get it finished. : )

I will send a Cmail to Sue.
Janet if you see this, would you mind putting your container pictures in the database?

These were 4 yr old's favorite Crocs.....I planted them yesterday with a few things I already had and hung them on the fence. Just hoping the squirrels don't rearrange them. They should fill out in a few weeks.

Would love to have your container in our Database. If you would like to add it here is the link. http://cubits.org/sedumandsemp... Thumbs up

Sandi, did you make a hole in the toe for drainage? Or is there already holes there?

Crocs are already full of holes! I have so much planted in the top of them, I don't think the water pooling will be a problem. I'll probably just spray them occasionally. I did add a piece of plastic "onion bag" inside each shoe to hold the soil. And I 'pinned' the sedums with tiny copper wire so they wouldn't fall out when I hung it. A friend sent me a pic of crocs with flowers in them. I think those would be harder to keep watered than the succulents.

thanks goldfinch....I never owned Crocs, but I wish I had bought stock!

Just wanted to let you all know that I changed the settings on the Container Database and the Wreaths & Topiary Database so that you can add entries without approval. They will be in and accessible as soon as you enter them. : )

Look what I found at Home Depot and Lowes. Sad to say none are winter hardy here, but I plan on taking them indoors for the winter. Big Grin

Oops, take it back, three of them are winter hardy here. Three types of delosperma.
