I purchased those wreath forms already made, but they are ridiculously expensive. But I know these will hold together. If I tried to weld one, I'm not sure it would.
Chris those are coming along nicely and are already beautiful.
The picture of me and a welder is scaring me. Don't you have to have a steady hand for that?

Hey, is there a thread somewhere on using panty hose for wreaths - there was a mention of it on one reaaaallly long thread, but no link. I'm in the throes of getting artsy again...
Jacki, I'm not sure there was a thread devoted to that subject. Just probably talked about it on a different thread. But here are a few links showing how it's done.
Here is the link to Jacki's instructions on how to make a Panty Hose Wreath. http://cubits.org/sedumandsemp...
It now has it's own thread so we won't loose it.
Finally did get a few pics of the new wreath. It will take a little while for it to fill in but I thought it looked pretty good.

thanks for all the helpful hints. I haven't been using moss and I think (aftering reading all the postings) that that has been my problem. When I planted my first boxes I left the screen exposed and the plants seemed to like that. Later I tried to hide the screen by adding more soil and that's when I started losing plants. Now I need to convince my husband that he should build me more boxes so I can put my plan to work?
thanks for all the good info.
Hi Lynn
Here is a rather blurry picture of one of the wall boxes. This is what the boxes look like that I've been planting. But after yesterdays epiphany, I've spent the morning reducing the soil depth and replanting. My fingers are crossed!
