Lynn, your wreath looks GREAT!!!!! Mine is still down for now, we will most likely get more bad weather, but I have some of the semps that you all sent me last year in pots on the front porch and they look like they are gonna make it into the wreath this year too. I can't wait to get outside and play in the dirt!!!

We sure have missed you Laura, good to see you back.
Remind me, when I send you semps I can send some nice sedum cutting for your wreath.

I have been reading this discussion and wanting to try a topiary, and I found a topiary form at a tag sale today. It was covered with plastic fake ivy and stuck into a monkey ugly gold spray paint plastic basket. It was twenty five cents, so I whacked off the fake plants and chucked the basket, it was too ugly for repurposing. I now have a nice topiary frame with three balls...what do you think? Small, medium and large semps, and stick the topiary form into a pot with some kind of sedum that will cover the soil and cascade down?

Celene, can we see a photo of your amazing find? Twenty five cents, wow.
I love the sound of the plan you have for planting it.

Sounds like a wonderful plan Celene and a great bargain to boot. Semps and cascading sedums, oh yeah!

I should have thought to take a photo of the basket in all of it's, errm, well...glory. It had plastic angels on it. Not cute angels. Really badly made angels that were creepy, and from the look of it, originally white, and spray painted gold. And I gotta tell you, I've never seen gold sprayed moss before, it's also a unique decorating choice.

I'll post a before and after planting photo soon. I'm filling the form with moss this morning.
