Sue, no, I never have heard why. I met Gary perhaps 15 years ago, and he wrote it "gary" then. Never figured out how to ask about it!

With all the talk about NWD maybe I will have to look for it. I have never seen it growing in any of the gardens I have been to. His site says it is a bud builder - which is a trait I really want to start looking for.

Here's what it looks like in Bakersfield. I just moved it this year because it was dwindling away where it was, and the second picture was taken a couple of months after that. It's much happier now.
