I have enjoyed the blooms and Ausi commentary. I say that affectionately as I have a wonderful lady from Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia who works for me and has for about 3 years. But it is at times like this winter day that brings out her best. I understand her home area of Austrailia rarely has temps below 60f and today our high temp was 18f with a windcill of -10f and about 4 inches of snow. Yea for the snow as it may protect the plants from near 0 overnight temp. All the nice blooms you are showing make us want to hurry along to spring. You both have really nice collections of daylilies and Glen, some beauties in your seedlings as well. Very nice to have you sharing so it is always bloom season on the daylily forums.

Hooray. When our internet returned I was still trying to find what I had messed up in the last few days when trying to make it work. But I found out and enabled the DHCP, so hope the service doesn't drop out again.

BLACKBERRY JACK would love to be planted out but I have been busy rescuing some from the drier (and wallaby frequented) areas.

We have had enough rain but better than the 34 deg heat. But can't complain as Adelaide is having 40 deg C = 104 deg F with 9 deg more than that inland. But the UV index here is over 14 for a few hours in the middle of the day, and to high most of the day to do much outside.
A few others have bloomed but haven't been able to take even half decent pics. We have heavy rain then hot sun, or the other way around.

Ooooo, that second from last photograph (NOID), is pretty!

Debra, it is an excellent plant in the garden. It was sold to me as Lavender Blue Baby and when I challenged it the grower said it was in fact Kansas Kitten, which it also seems not to be too. It is an excellent parent as well.

I keep seeing seedlings with Laura Harwood - I purchased Laura from @LarryR last summer and really anxious to see it bloom!!! All of the pictures I see of it are gorgeous. Again with gorgeous blooms Glen

Lovely blooms Glen. They sure appreciate your TLC. And the rain. Lots of buds here. But not much open. Frequent blooms on the plant that I thought at first it was MISTER LUCKY wh I have probably lost. I found a label that shows it is Alexander's unregistered 'Little Bit Lively'. They appear to be very similar, but ML a bit larger and taller. It is nice. Pity I can't take a decent pic of it.


Terry, I wonder if your Australian lady from Bundaberg knows if there were/are any public or private gardens which have a collection of the cultivars registered by the Mead (Flanders) family? One of them lived there for a while at least? It is sad that many cultivars appear to be lost forever. Here in Aus many people stop selling them as they get older. Any long term increase in summer temperatures will probably further discourage growers here.
