Safe journey Glen. Hope it is not terribly hot. At over 91 deg F here it is pretty fierce, and humid. We are 5 deg C = 9 deg F hotter than the coast just a few kilometres away. But at least we get a breeze.

Only 1 more bud on TROPICAL HEAT WAVE Trying to avoid a shadow on it I burned my bare feet on the pavers.

Plants in the shade are doing well. Unfortunately there isn't much shade. I have to continue to cut down trees too near the house, so am desperately trying to grow bamboo and deciduous shrubs and vines for shade.
MISTER LUCKY is loving its new home under some wattles. Unlike eucalypts, and many other trees, wattles are great to grow plants near. Contrast the red of this gerbera sdlg.

The wind shredded a few blooms today. But some were fine.
Maleny Eyecatcher very bright orange today and shedding pollen like crazy

This red NOID appears to be a different cultivar from the very tall one with large blooms. Hard to tell until this plant gets to grow up more. But I do recall the almost 6 ft one took a long time to establish roots and leaves before it flowered. This one has flowered on a much smaller plant. Will plant it out tomorrow.
JUST CELEBRATE needs TCL
Hard to recognise this one as the pale lime yellow beauty (I think WHITE OPAL) of a few weeks back. I must plant it out of the wind. It is nocturnal so had had its day.

My much awaited plant turned out to be a very healthy CHINESE SPIRIT doing a big poly. The label had slid down into the pot. It is now planted out.


A late FFOS on ELLEN CHRISTINE could only manage a single, but I was glad to see it. A Dip
but great substance.

the not white NOID looks very different today. Not only fully opened but totally recurved !!! Also more reddish and with a more pronounced eyezone. Would think it a different plant.

Glad u r not sick of seeing Maleny Eyecatcher. It often has a few blooms.
I am more used to CLOTHED IN GLORY now. It is still more yellow than in the pic. Also recurved as r many of them nowadays.

It is he same shade but a bit lighter is ULTIMATE PERFECTION which has very pink buds, and is a prolific bloomer.
