I enjoy pulling weeds too... to an extent! It depends on how hard they are to pull and how hard they are to eradicate completely.

Thanks to recent rain, mine were easy to pull, but eradication is yet to be known! I agree Vickie!

I'm a believer that not all so called weeds are weeds but I'm not a fan of pulling Bermuda grass, Solanum carolinense, or Yellow Dock from my flower beds. Anyone is welcome to come pull as many as they want from my garden, shoot I'll even give you a standing ovation and a pat on the back. Now that's what I call a feeling of accomplishment Big Grin

Your so funny, Daniel! I'll remember that if I ever want a free trip to South Carolina. You are paying expenses, right? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Barbalee, how's that weed pulling going? I have two spots in my garden where nutsedge got it's heels dug in and eradicating it looks near impossible Thumbs down But at least it comes up easily enough.

nodding You are so nice!

Off topic, but honestly though, I do like South Carolina. Went there in 2010 and stayed at Kiawah Island for a week. It was awesome Smiling

I love Kiawah Island Lovey dubby we go there almost every year. There are some nice nurseries down there also.
Barbalee eradicating weeds is virtually impossible because of so many seeds getting blown in from other yards and from the wild. Some seeds stay viable for 10, 20 even 100 years just waiting on the perfect conditions to sprout. When we bought our house 6 years ago I made a little perennial bed near our back door and a marijuana plant came up a few weeks later. We don't smoke pot so the seed didn't come from us and must have been tossed out the back door by the previous owners. Talk about weeds in your garden Sticking tongue out needless to say I pulled it up but it was able to get almost a foot tall before I noticed it. At the time I was getting a lot of plants and garden supplies shipped in and the mail man was leaving boxes at the back door almost daily. Thank God I noticed it before anyone else did.

Giggle, Daniel! Long ago, I thought having plants in my classroom was a good thing....until, that is, my high school students added weed to them! They loved that their young high school teacher took such good care of them for a couple of months until one quietly revealed it to me!

I never knew I had such a paradise for fun and therapy. Now this is a whole new way of looking at weeding. Maybe I can start .. like a resort to come for fun and thearpy weeding gardens. Hey we could do week long thearpy and where most places you have to pay dearly for such things, ours could be super cheap. How about free and free meals. Don't worry, if you don't get in on the first week. Most you would not have any fun and thearpy left after a week, but around here we could run this club for a couple of years and the late comers will still have plenty of fun. Barbalee - Oh my! That is so funny! I bet the students really got a good laugh out of that! Blinking Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Terry - Thumbs up Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Actually, it does sound rather fun if done in a bit of cooler weather. I actually prefer weeding to building new raised beds or moving things around. I just scoot my little knee bench around and pull, pull, pull .... it always looks so nice when it's all done. The only issue .... within a month it has become weedy again. Sighing!

A gardeners work is never done! Sticking tongue out
