I love snow drops also. I will give it a try, the potting up of hyacinths. Thanks for the suggestion. Snow drops also.

I looked at the bulb sites and love Lovey dubby ColorBlends. I will be back there as soon as they start selling for the fall.

I took a short walk around the yard this afternoon. I have hyacinths up 4" and daffodils up to 6" and my hellebore are starting to crank out the blooms.

Mary, Group hug before you know it, all of that snow will be melted, and your garden will be in full bloom.

I started a new thread for blooming bulbs 2017. I came back from being gone this past week, to find wonderful growth, and now blooms from a lot of my bulbs.

The thread "Spring Blooming Bulbs 2017" in Bulbs forum

I know have a large variety coming from dahlia vendor and Van Bourgondien:

HARDY TALL PHLOX NICKY 03/02/17-03/07/17
HARDY TALL PHLOX TENOR 03/02/17-03/07/17
BEGONIA SWITZERLAND 03/02/17-03/07/17
HARDY GERANIUM DREAMLAND 03/02/17-03/07/17
HARDY GROUND ORCHID MIX (BLETILLA STRIATA) 03/02/17-03/07/17
COOL BLUE GLADIOLUS BLEND 03/02/17-03/07/17
BEGONIA WUMMI CREAM

Plus all my dahli clumps in the crawl space to sort through and plant or pitch, as condition warrants. I think I may put the plants coming the first part of March in the fridge to hold for another month maybe? Or at least til the later part of March?? We won't have snow free ground til the first part of April

UrbanWild, in what part of Kentucky do you live? Nice selection of plants there!

Mary Stella, are the phlox you've ordered arriving bare root? If so, you may want to consider potting them and keeping them in a cool place like your garage or crawl space. If they sprout too quickly they can be pinched back to promote bushier growth.

Yes Neal. They should be bare root. Was going to pot them along with any other non bulb type plants. I guess they would be okay in the crawl space. it is dark and 50+ down there so not really as cool as I would like. In another two weeks I will be bringing up all the dahlia clumps. Then the car goes to the driveway ( Sad ) poor thing, and all rolling racks and 4x8' table set up with drop lights.

Bulbs should be arriving around 3-5 so I will try to hold them off in the fridge in the garage for another two weeks. The alyssum I grew I pinched off as it was really stringy and they are looking pretty good now. Need to raise the lights a bit more. they are straightening up and heading for the light. opssss. Well healthy and striaght. lol

Well since I wasn't going to order anymore lilies, and since Bonbini, Late Morning, Pink Planet and Heart Strings were cancelled due to CROP FAILURE, this is what I've added (and a few more Whistling Whistling ):

I did end up ordering Leslie Woodriff for myself since the other one went to my DD
Pontiac OT (our friends have an old GTO - in their honor of course Whistling Hilarious! )
Burning Joy
Whistler
Catina OT
Scheherazade OT
Flashpoint OT
Beijing Moon

Mister Pistache OT
Profundo OT
Strawberry and Cream

and I also added more of others I had ordered earlier. Never could pass up a good sale Whistling Whistling Whistling

I am also looking for these:
Angel Choir

Vermeer

The Iowa Rose I can get at The Lily Garden but not the other two. I would have to order out of Canada if I remember correctly. If there are any in the US please let me know! Have a great day and if anyone would like to help me plant these . . . . . Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!
