Both of my daughters bought fitbits. They both stopped using them after about a month so I haven't bothered to get one. Maybe there are better ones out there?
Today my exercise was driving around and loading bags of Fall Leaves into the car. Then home and unload and stack them. Then back out and load more and so forth. Lots of lifting and pushing, shoving and carrying.

I can't give anyone thumbs because the Kindle Fire is touchy. I can't even read what I wrote because of stupid NGA dropdown toolbar. I know I made an error but I can't see it to correct it.

Anna - I got a Fitbit Charge HR and I really like it. It is silly how pleased I feel when that band buzzes when my goal of 10,000 steps is met. It always (every day) surprises me and pleases me. It is obvious that it does not take much to please me - my life must be too quiet. I know the Fitbit is a glorified pedometer, but it is interesting that the computer program can show charts of your progress and award virtual badges. A bit of fun. There are several models of the Fitbit.
Summary - I like it and it really counts my steps accurately.
Our daughter just alerted us to MyFitnessPal from UnderArmour. It's free on the Iphone and tracks a lot of things like calories, water intake, exercise and steps, etc. Right now there is a bit of a learning curve, but it will get faster to use as we go on with it. It really makes you realize how small portions are supposed to be! Calories add up faster than I'd really thought. It has alerts and reminders if you want them. It's fun, and I think it's going to help me with keeping a healthier diet.

I did well over an hour of exercise yesterday, plus some housework. I have been dusting the walls, it is amazing how much dust sticks to them.
Today more wall dusting downstairs and this afternoon we put the Christmas lights up on the fence, across the front of the house and on the deck, I am so glad that's done, thankfully it wasn't too cold out there. Then I gave the birds fresh water and refilled all the feeders.

I've missed a lot of the conversations but just wanted to add this bit of info. It is better to do more eating early in the day and less at night because if you are active in the daytime you will burn off more calories than if you ate a heavier meal at night and then slept for 8 hours.
