70 F here right now - I think this calls for a "nice day off with pay" at work! Well it was a good thought while it lasted!

Showers overnight then cloudy with 53F this morning. Blue sky and sun came out around 11am while I was outside trimming and weeding. I was already wet and muddy. Only a little bit left to do, hope to get an early start tomorrow and finish the sdlg area.

It is cloudy and 57 here this morning. Rain is predicted for the next 4 days. I certainly hope not as I want to finish weeding all the flower beds before the snow flies.

It's windy this morning! The last two days it waited till the sun was up a little. I've been walking at daybreak to beat the wind, but I may wait till after dinner today. It's quite chilly!

A nice surprise last night of .20 or rain and some real intense lightening and thunder. A very big crash at 1:11 got our attention.

I'll wake up for a loud crash and DH sleeps right through and doesn't have a clue sometimes I love to watch and listen to a good storm coming in though

I enjoy it as well Ginny especially since it is so rare here. DH kind of yelled when it crashed, I had just seen a very bright flash so was bracing for what I knew was coming.

The cold front is just now moving in to our area. Skies have been dark off and on since noon, but it only sprinkles, and only then when I go out to do something. The air is starting to cool though, fall is in the air! And now I hear the rain, think I'll go sit on the front porch & watch.

We looked at the rivers yesterday. The Cedar has flooded some cabins. That is typical. They started parking their cars on the gravel road a few days ago. It made the news. It's Hoot Owl Jct.
On the other side of the highway a couple levees broke. DH's friend's Dad built them many years ago. I imagine Jones Cabin Lane and Pike Run Lane are flooded too. They closed the gravel road.

61 degrees this morning and pouring like crazy. We are supposed to have rain every day through Sunday.

The weather has changed too fast for my liking. 47 degrees this morning, I know that's not really cold, but I'm still used to 90s. Supposed to get back into the 80s by next week, it's that time of the year. I've been getting a lot done in the yard with the cooler temps though.
