@Signet Try and hang on here Signet, I was shocked when I first saw the changed look but I knew from past experiences with things Dave and Trish do that it would turn out good, just takes a little looking around and playing with things to get back into the fun of this garden site.

I am one of those people that just hate change!! For me, it just as well could have stayed the way it was. But the customize feature is very easy to do and then you really have everything EXACTLY the way you want it laid out and set up.

So end of story, I like it.

Not raining here today but chilly, damp and dreary. I took my dog for an exercise walk but was happy to get back home and inside.

We had another 'surprise' storm yesterday. Ended up with .80 of rain and yes the leak is still active under the new AC roof unit.

Yesterday was 40F in the am and just under 60 by noon, chilly day. Forgot to look for the temp this morning before heading out. DH just said it was cloudy with a high of 59 today (I asked).

Humidity at 40% doesn't sound that bad, that would be considered low for us. Yes, humidity makes a huge difference when it is hot out. 80's with high humidity...a sweaty mess.

With the high temps and no rain to speak of the past few months we had to switch our dug well over to the drilled one last night. There's only 4 ft of water in the dug well. Last time it was that low was 14 years ago the middle of Oct. A month without water, we hauled water in for 3 people, 3 horses, 2 cows, 6 dogs, cooking, cleaning, drinking, flushing...they finished the 400 ft $8000 drilled well the day before Thanksgiving. We were one of the lucky ones many people were still waiting for them to come. Funny thing is I like the water in the dug well better...we normally have an $8000 car washer in the front yard. Have to say it is nice to know at a flip of a handle the water will go on!

And I thought my car wash was expensive

They are calling for a high of 78F. It will probably get above 80F at my place.

The warm air is barely hanging on and there isn't enough sun to gather heat. No furnaces yet, wah!

I hate to brag but another beautiful day Downside is I'm at work

I don't think we will reach 70 today. Only 64 at the moment and the sun finally came out.

Nothing much to say about rain, but to shrug. We've had a lot, but are super concerned about "Matthew". This evening I think we will make our escape plans. Tomorrow have a GP appointment and I know the blood pressure isn't going to be good. Too bad!
