Mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 7 by 5 pm. Wind chill values as low as -5. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Margaret,
I tan well. Always have and only burned slightly, once, when I was a kid and we had been in the boat all day.
I'm trying to fade those dark freckles and am really going to watch the sun from now on.
ROTFL over the goosebumps!!

Linda,
I hope you get the shade of tan you want, lol!
I'm sure Margaret wants to share but just doesn't know how to get that cold air down to you..

LOL Ginny!

Char,
Two of my apple trees still have leaves on them. It made a pretty snow covered picture, but we can't put Christmas lights on the big one because it just won't drop those leaves.

Cindy,
We are lucky the towns around here are pretty good about plowing. Even if we go to town early we can make it in and to the store.

Kelli,
Laughing over the thought of cold weather driving in the noisy neighbors!

Signet,
It seems a lot of us got snow altho my last snow was only an inch.
Loving your plans for a larger garden!
I hear you! I have a much smaller version of the concrete block compost pile and it's really too small.
OMG! The orb is beautiful!! It looks store bought! YOU have talent!

We are 71 at noon with some wispy clouds. Still saying we will break some records and be in the low 80's later this week. D'Oh! Margaret is not trying hard enough. Glare

It was really cold last night, -20f, today is calm, sunny and 5f, looks like the cold will continue for a few more days. Thumbs down

Linda, blame it on the jet stream, I keep hoping some of this freezing weather will blow your way, you deserve it, would get rid of some of the hot air down there. Whistling

It is going to be very cold here for the next few days. By Friday it is going down to minus 4 degrees. I think I will be hibernating. Sighing!

Thanks for the nice comments on the orb. I make them and metal christmas ornments during the winter to keep me from going stir crazy cuz I cant be out in the gardens .
As I said the metal bands are recycled material and I make them in all different sizes from 4.5 inches like this one which will be part of a double orb Thumb of 2016-12-14/signet/a65ba7 to 24 inch diameter like this one which is hanging outside Thumb of 2016-12-14/signet/1f77ea ( I am rusting it on purpose) and I will ultimately seal the rusted finish so it does not continue to rust . I have about a 1/2 dozen out there rusting as I write . LOL!
I also make them into bird feeders. They are all different which includes how many bands the orb can have The more bands the more intricate the finished orb . I have just finished one for myself that is wrapped with garland and lighted by battery operated xmas lights . Thumb of 2016-12-14/signet/aaa3b9

Loving the orbs!
We ended up with another 5" of snow yesterday. Think the temp went up to 33 or 34 if I remember right. Low this morning of 24, high of 36 with warm sunshine, a really nice day.

Sally, Cindy and Margaret, your reports don't sound good at all! That cold stuff is heading our way for Thurs. & Fri. Then we are suppose to warm a bit Saturday and Sunday could see snow and/or... rain Blinking That will make for a slippery mess.

Kelli, it would be funny to see their faces as a cold single digit wind crashed their party... Smiling

Thanks Linda , I like my lighted orb too!

I forgot to mention in my post .....temps here are dropping dramatically . Last week we had temps around 4 or 5 degrees celcius = 39.2 Farenheit. Tonight we are dropping to -12 celcius (10.4 degrees farenheit)with the windchill factor . If my calculations are correct that's approximately a 30 degree Farenheit drop in temps. Can you say Polar Vortex?

had to edit this as the temps were incorrect . They have been fixed now so sorry or the error

OMG it is BITTER out there .The winds are blowing gusts of about 50 km/hour and the snow we got is blowing around making drifts and it is cold enough to freeze the nose off a brass monkey however this is gonna feel like being in Hawaii compared to what they are calling for tomorrow,........ With windchill tomorrow is supposed to be -25 degrees celcius or -13 farenheit .

So very glad I live in the so called Banana Belt of Canada ! Love to meet the idiot that coined that phrase .

Hi Linda , yup, supposedly we do ! Where I live I am about 1 1/2 hours drive from the most southerly point in Canada . It is on par with Northern California and yes it is called the Banana Belt of Canada which as I have said before is the biggest joke I have ever heard especially since the ice started to melt in Northern Canada . Now the jet stream brings all that bitter cold down our way . The jet stream used to be much higher up in the north but not now . In the winter now because of the movement of the jet stream the Yukon and Northwest Territories are often warmer than we are . Go figure . May just have to consider moving to the Artic Circle if I want warmer weather in the winter .

Another beautiful sunny day, not much wind, low last night was -26f, present temperature is 2f. The rising moon last night and the night before was spectacular, drives me crazy that I can't capture it's beauty like I see it with the camera. The lens started to fog up so that didn't help. Glare

I went out in the freezing cold and this was the best that I could get. Shrug! Too bad the house was in the way and the dang TV antenna.
