I can't make up my mind yet. Might take me a few days.
Hmmm, that Spanish coffee sounds like it might be tasty.

I think there are no bad choices at Robert's Crossing. I love the setting of this in sort of a room decorated as a hunting or fishing cabin. Somehow you feel as though you're in the woods in Oregon. Nice way to end the day. I will say that the owners of Robert's bought their own brewery about 6 months ago so you may want to consider a pint of their IPA too.

Of course I sampled all in order to make my choices. Such a tough job. The only heads up I'll need is who will be having the Fisherman's stew as they want to make sure they have sufficient fresh shellfish. Each of these is cooked to order.

Now if the weather will cooperate, things will be just perfect.

I am going to do a mix of back to basics and also some more coverage. We'll go over blocks of seedlings and I'll show you why I picked out which ones to save. Your job will be to determine the ones I should keep in other groups. I think this kind of exercise will help you as you choose cultivars for your garden too.

Can't wait for you to see all the selected seedlings from previous years. Everyone has admired them.

Kevin

I'm excited to see all of you again plus meeting some of the new people too. You have all become wonderful friends and my life is so much better for having you all in it.

That aside, I love all the dishes I've selected for our banquet. You can check out further details on each entree on the Robert's Crossing web site if you want to know details of preparations and sides.

We haven't decided on the dessert choices yet but we'll try to do 4 different ones for every taste.

Aww, Kevin, we think you're the "bee's knees"... nodding

Bee's Knees
Urban Dictionary: "When bees flit from flower to flower the nectar sticks to their legs. The phrase "bee's knees" means sweet and good, because the knees of the bee are where all the sweet, good stuff is collected."

Which is so appropriate for Kevin because he collects the good stuff in his garden to make the good stuff for us... nodding

Bev,

If the name bees's Knees' isn't taken Ill have to name a semp that!

It was a favorite expression of one of my scientist friends in MS who has passed so would be a nice tribute to him as well.

Kevin, who if he WERE the bee's knees would certainly be weighty enough to make a bee not so aerodynamic. It would take a hive to fly me around!

Lynn and Bev,

We'll have to do a lunch at The Kitchen. It is SUCH fun. Cliff would like it too as they do fried green tomatoes and other Southern classics.

Their variations on Eggs Benedict are AMAZING !

Okay, I think it is time to start making a list of who is coming to the 3 day clinic this year.
Of course the clinic itself is on Saturday, but we have great fun on the Friday before and the Sunday after. So many great nurseries and gardens to see, and so little time. Big Grin

Are you coming Karen? I sure hope so.

Karen,

Yes I gave Bev THE LIST of my favorite restaurants in Salem when she moved here. I think she had pretty good luck with the list!

Robert's Crossing is great fun. Hope you get to come experience it all!

Aw, thank you. I'd love to, but unfortunately it won't be this year. I won't rule it out for future years as I'm becoming addicted to these cute little plants. I just hope I can grow them in my 2 different climates.

I do not see the clinic in the Garden Event Calendar. Is it too restricted as far as participants to be included there?
