It won't affect my drinking water but it will affect the people down stream from the leak. Duke Energy had a couple of massive spills in the state already that have affected thousands but our crappy Governor let them off with a slap on the hand. They should have gotten far more in fines. We, the consumers, will be paying for the cleanup for quite awhile.

Australis said:We have drivers here, too, that seem to not understand (1) how to read signs or (2) the height of their vehicle. The Montague Street bridge here in Melbourne claims many victims. It's been so frequent this year that it's become a bit of a joke and the bridge now has its own website, Facebook page and Twitter account:

Oh, and the most recent collisions come after the installation of warning gantries that will actually hit the vehicle if it's too high and cause a loud noise.

I didn't know the Montague Street Bridge was on facebook, twitter and it's own website. Someone out there has a good sense of humour. It's amazing the bridge is still standing given the number of times people hit it.

I was gonna say, I live not too far from one of the spill sites. It's about 15 minutes away. They're still cleaning and putting it into rail cars to be shipped somewhere...That energy site is now closed.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Well, one must protect the large companies don't you know! How else can they make profits in the trillions? We sure don't want them to have to tighten their belts and live on mere Millions! Grumbling
