When I saw the "SDB Lili" I immediately thought of you Lilli. I'm not surprised you ordered that one. Smiling

I haven't looked at the site yet, so tempting. How exciting!
By the year 2117 I plan to be part Iris. My honey already knows I want Irises planted over me like in the old cemeteries around here. A bench for viewing them too.

What a lovely thought! (Well, apart from the 'dead and in the grave' thing). I would love that too! Did you pick out which iris(es) you want? Big Grin

Well, yes Robin - I thought of me too! Hilarious! I already have SDB 'Lilli White' and I'm thinking they will make a cute couple?

Robin, you've chosen some great irises and photos - Nice ones, Tom and Betja!

Thanks for the info Rob and Liz!!! Do any of you who ordered last year remember how much the shipping was? I think I remember that it varies based on several factors (how many people place orders, how many rhizomes you order...) but I'm just wanting to get a ballpark idea.

I'd be interested knowing this information also.

The info Barry sends out about shipping costs varies according to the destination - so I have the details for Europe but not for the US, sorry. I do remember last year thinking that it cost less than I thought it would, and believe that I read a Jan post to similar effect. @janwax ?
Also, I wasn't billed until the rhizomes had arrived safely in England - so I paid (with Paypal) for the irises and the shipping in one go, at the end of the (incredibly uncomplicated) process.

I don't remember what the shipping was - but it was reasonable - because we are all sharing the cost of one container. The container goes to Tom Johnson, at Mid-America, and he re-addresses our individual orders and sends them out.

I got a confirmation from Barry this morning - I'll be getting Storm Brewing and two others. I admit it - I 'm addicted ! Whistling

Wellllll...Mika,.....(you curious girl) Hilarious! I saw MANY I wanted...but couldn't afford! But we all know that iris rhizomes hate to travel alone - so I added Butterfly Affair, and Dracula's Kiss to my small order.
Of these, only Butterfly Affair is Early-Mid. The others bloom later .Throwing caution to the winds!

Nice, Jan! I love the contrast on Dracula's Kiss (bought it this year); I hadn't seen Butterfly Affair, but just looked it up - wonderfully subtle Lovey dubby (and my wish list grows... I need to learn not to ask!!! D'Oh! )

Right now I'm seriously coveting some of the smoky-coloured Piateks, so need to keep some money (and space) in reserve. I also want to explore further the many other central European hybridisers - the ones I bought last month have exploded into growth - possibly because they've been bred to cope with really cold climates?

Jan, Napa has Dracula's Kiss. Whistling Just in case there was another you wanted to join the box.

I saw DK in bloom at Napa last year and loved! It was among some irises that were generously gifted to me this year. Thumbs up

I'm considering swapping Georgette Silk for Chocolatier. I picked up Cross My Heart from Iris Sisters and I'm thinking they're going to be way too similar. I do love the lace though.

Jan, I'm so glad you got Butterfly Affair! I ordered it from Keppel and it's one that I'm REALLY looking forward to.
