Heard back from Judy. No known issues on the website. I sent her the link to this thread, Then she opened the link I posted here okay from the post, but when she copied and pasted her website page link, it didn't. Maybe something in the link itself that I posted has a hiccup. If anyone goes directly to the website and has problems she has asked that you let her know.

How ever you get there, she has a wonderful collection of iris! And as Debra said, Judy is very helpful.

Well Judy had some that I hadn't seen anywhere else, so I ordered 7 and she's sending me two intermediates I mentioned as bonuses. I like her site and her responsiveness. So many of the iris vendors are wonderful people!

I agree Jan. On the whole they are a very friendly bunch.

I am still seeking these Standard Dwarf Bearded Irises.

Robin's Nest and Priwall. I was also looking for Hummingbird's Blessing but another member may have found a source for that one.

I have tried several years to get them from Rainbow Iris Farm only to find that they are out of stock each time I put in an order. If anyone knows a source for these two little guys please let me know.

Hummingbird is definitely on order! And I just saw Robin's Nest somewhere..... Will have to rack my brain.....

Everything I want is pretty rare or not here in Australia and seeing as we can only import seed it means I'll be attempting to convert seedlings.

Main interests being:
Tetra Calsibs (or just tetra Sino sibs or cals)
Tetra I.lactea
Tetra I.virginica


The last two may not exist at all, if they do though, would be interested in knowing.

O.K. I know I have posted more than 10 irises on this thread but there are still a few on my list I really, really want. Two are from Sue Marshall, a hybridizer in England, Baby Barn Owl and Gypsy Tart. Both SDB's and really nice. I think she owns Sissinghurst Iris gardens. Does anyone know if a vendor in the US carries her irises?

..... and SDB Groovy Grubworm. Anyone have any idea if it is still around?

Liz, I too wanted it for its name alone and then I looked at it on Sissinghurst's web site and saw a photo of it. It is soft and reminds me of a little bird beginning to fledge.

I checked the Sissinghurst website this afternoon and couldn't find Baby Barn Owl - they have Gypsy Tart, though, which I like. I did find BBO on another (French) website - it's a Loic Tasquier (he's lovely, we've corresponded a couple of times - I'll ask him if any US seller stocks it).

On a note of whatever-happened-to-my-self-control, I started loading Sissinghurst irises into a shopping cart... I'm waiting until tomorrow before I check out, to see if reason prevails.

Loic told me that he sent Baby Barn Owl to Sue Marshall after he decided not to register it; so she registered it with his permission. It's available in France and (perhaps) in England, but he doesn't think anyone in the US sells it. I'd be happy to do a 'Cri Cri', Bonnie, if you're interested?
