It was fun to go back and re-read last year's Top Ten Wanted list ! Looks like I didn't post a list, but I'm wondering what happened to Natty Attire. Anyone find this one? I can't find it available anywhere yet,
I smiled at my Patchwork Puzzle/Wild Angel comparison. WIld Angel has been vigorous in my garden from the start - her child, PP, not so much...until this year! i gave it another try, in a lavishly augmented bed, and you should see it now! Many increases. Now let's see if she blooms.

Jan ~ Yes, I am the guilty one...digging up old threads. I am just reading them to see what I can learn. It must be symptoms of Iris Virus! You say there is no cure? Shrug!

Well, fine then. I'll just have to make my own irises! (Cross them!)

I don't have a lot more room, even though I found more that I wanted to buy. I had better save some room for seedlings, if I ever get any! We'll see. Rolling my eyes.

...and yes, you need to get Gallic Softness! It's better IRL than any picture I've seen of it. Lovey dubby

It is so interesting seeing what everyone has on their 'most wanted' lists. I am really tempted to start my own list but after adding +/- 130 new iris to the garden this year, I think I am going hold off on getting any new ones for a season or so - I need the space for my seedlings!

Lestv said:"Only ordered 24". Spoken like a true iris addic..., ehem, lover. Big Grin

Henhouse said:"only" being the key word here...

Sherry, Leslie - I said 'only' 24 because the other order was a bit bigger Big Grin But you know, when I look at some folks plant lists, I think am still in the little league Hilarious!
IrisLilli said:Well, there were plenty more than the 24 to choose from, so I admire her restraint! Thumbs up Big Grin
Good to know Sharlene. I was thinking about ordering from them and was wondering how yours were doing. We'll have to wait for spring to learn if they are true to their names of course, but healthy plants is a very, very good start! Thank You!

Lilli - so, so true! It was not an easy task only choosing 24. Come spring, I will let you know if there are any that were incorrectly labelled. So far, I have been lucky with Cayeux and Bianco in that respect.

I don't think I have ever ordered 24 at a time from a vendor. That doesn't mean that the box didn't come with 24 rhizomes thanks to bonuses! Big Grin

I bought Seasons in the Sun when it was first introduced in 2014. I so loved it's pictures. I have yet to see it. It increases quite rapidly, and that's a good thing, because every rhizome large enough to produce a bud rots off every spring. I must have 10 or 12 rhizomes out there right now that all should bloom next spring, but I'm not holding my breath. It's been that way many times before. Sad

Oh dear. That is a good warning for me. If Tom can't grow it then I might have problems too. I am using a reverse logic for this. All the iris I have gotten from Tom grow like crazy, and with the exception of Easter Candy, bloomed well. So if he can't get a bloom due to rot, then the warmer, moister air down here isn't going to be a better fit. Maybe I can trade you for an increase next year to test this?

Tom, I saw Seasons in the Sun in person at Napa Iris and it's even more beautiful than the photos show. So I hope it does stop the tease rot and blooms for you.

Tom, I'm also having issues with Seasons in the Sun. It rotted badly this past year so no bloom. It will take a while to recover from the intense surgery. I bought a second rhizome this year with hopes that if the first doesn't make it, the second will be ok and produce a bloom. I want to see it in person so badly!
