My indoors winter Ipomoea nil plants didn't do well either due to thrips infestation. I hope the pests do not continue next winter. The Ipomoea magnusiana was resistant to the thrips, apparently.

Please keep me updated on how your Sazanami turn out. I'll do the same. Unfortunately, my Scripto ran out of ink, at the worst possible time, when so much was germinating & had to be potted up. I was a bit late at finding labels & ought to have bought many more, too. At least when I bought a new pen, I was able to write the names on some pots , of those that sprouted just a little bit after..
