It is a Richard Muller hybrid, I would expect the color change.

Ted, If that's from Sunset Valley Orchid, keep in mind that it is probably a seedling and even those from the same flask can vary. It will be interesting to watch.

Bc Binosa 'Tetraploid' opened the first of four good looking spikes. I hate to move this plant to the front of the greenhouse, it seems that spikes and leaves snap off with ease, if one isn't careful.

There were some amazing bargains in the bare root department $3-15 bucks , which I'll post in the just acquired thread. But as I'm going through a very messy home renovation at the moment..I thought I needed a little instant gratification ...so here is Blc. Settle Me Down

That's a gorgeous one, Lindsey. Such an appropriate name for your current renovation status, too! Hilarious!

I was sorry I couldn't stay longer and have lunch with you and Jim. Next time for sure!

Patty baked cookies and gave us all a sampler. Evil, Patty! Evil! MMMmm mine are all gone already. Now I'm going out to dinner with friends and I'm not even hungry. Rolling my eyes.

I've had a very pleasant few hours potting up most of my new bare root plants from yesterday's shopping trip. From one of last years Apopka trips..

I don't think so, Lindsey. First, it is an Rlc. but the real problem is this is what it is suppose to look like:

Rolling my eyes. Maybe we should re-name Lindsey's white beauty 'Ruffle Me Up' ? Hilarious!

I just love the shape and conservative lip with nice restrained floof.

So Jim, what you are saying.. is.. I paid FULL PRICE for a NOID?
Rafael did have some beautiful NOID'S for sale in the over $100. range, which I thought was insane.
So I guess my next move is to send Rafael a photo and see if he can ID it for me?!

I plugged your orchid name into OrchidWiz to see if the name was correct and saw this file picture for Rlc. Settle Me Down. Raphael obviously had his tags switched or something. Yes, I would send him the picture to see if he can ID it. If not, perhaps someone here has a clue. I'll search but I can't promise anything. I'll look at the rest of your new orchids and send you the correct names. Like I said, when your orchid is named Black Beauty and the tag says Blackberry your in for a long night.

I have a nice little shower of fragrant little Brassies here tonight. This is a big cork raft with 3 little Apopka plants mounted on it. Only one of them had a tag, Brassavola Jairak Kiss but these flowers don't look like that one did.
They're very delicate lavender on the edges (the camera washes out the blue, sadly). Really smell heavenly for such little flowers - less than 2in. across. Please excuse the romantic 'hazy' appearance - some clumsy person put a big greasy fingerprint on the camera lens. Couldn't have been me . . . . Angel

My Bl. Little Lulu has finally managed to open one flower. It has a whole bunch more to go. I've googled 'Little Lulu' under several different orchid titles and never seem to get a flower that looks remotely like this. It's strange because the seller I got this one from has been very consistent and accurate with his tags.

One more scenting the cage out there in the dark, this one was also mis-labeled as a Yellow Bird and is obviously B. nodosa or a daughter thereof. The scent is unmistakeable.

Nice flowers here, Elaine. The last one is certainly one of the B. nodosa.

Thanks, all. I do love my cork mounts in the summer because they drain and dry out so well. At this time of year, and with recent dry, windy weather, I'm watering a lot more often.

We had a very nice, cool night last night - you know fall is here in Florida when you can sleep with the windows open. Such a treat. I'm hoping a few cool nights will "inspire" my lazy Vandas to start putting up some spikes.
