Ctt. Anguar . I might be testing this one for virus..the first spike all the buds blasted and on this second spike the first flower opened deformed and you can just see a peek of the petal on the lower right with some weird color variations going on

Nice change, Ted!

Lindsey, I am puzzled at your Brassia!
You wrote donkergeel lower case, which would indicate a species. Kew doesn't know this one. Checking as Hybrid or part of a hybrid, I can't find it either.
I love the George King 'Serendipity!'

I put that picture out on the Florida Orchid Growers FB page and one of the moderators came back very quickly with the name and a link to a pintrest page but I just googled the name and saw the numerous images that all looked very similar..so just copied the name and pasted. There were many images and perhaps it's one of those plants that has been mis labled all along?

I've been working on this Brassia issue and this may be a leap of faith but try Brascidostele [Bcd.] Gilded Tower 'Mystic Maze' (Brassostele Summit x Brassidium Gilded Urchin). I think what Lindsey has is an unregistered trade name. Here is the picture:

Yes, the challenge can be interesting but my problem is the time. Also, it is nice to be helpful.

Really nice, I love the spots and detailed lines on the petals.

Not quite as colorful, my "maybe Little Lulu" has similar markings.

Pretty!
My Pelatantheria insectifera (say that one three times fast) starts blooming. It is by now a fairly large plant, though a bit hard to see here.

Another spike on the Bc Binosa 'Tetraploid'
Thumb of 2016-11-09/Ursula/d4591f
and - this little Cym Amazing 'Marlow Orchids' never gets much larger than this, but it does produce a yearly small spike. Except, it used to bloom in Summer and it shifted to blooming later and later in the season.

Hello all.
A few plants that I've managed to keep over the years, and a couple of them are blooming this month.

Vanda (aka Ascocenda) John De Biase "Angela"

Vanda (aka Neofinetia) Baby Angel (Lou Sneary x falcata) - the flash keeps washing them out

The flash is tough on plant photographs. I always suppress mine and then if the photo is too dark, I lighten it with my photo software. Nice flowers.

Neofinetia falcata blooms are not always the easiest to shoot.

I also find it difficult to use flash especially on any flower where the petals have sparkle dust on the surface. A good friend who is a award winning photographer once showed me how to use flash in the day time and it would highlight just the flower leaving the background black but I was a bad student and have never been able to replicate her results.
