Looks like your only open issue, Danita, is that you briefly see the old image before the new one shows? That would be something happening in your browser and I'm not sure why. I haven't seen that happen but will keep an eye out for it.

I guess I am late reporting problems listed in this thread. I've been upgrading my computer from XP to Linux and had thought the problems I was experiencing was due to a change in operating systems and the upgrade. Now, I don't think that is quite true.

I do not have the list of forums showing to the left. @Dave you said this problem has been fixed. I am using FireFox as my browser on both of my computers and am experiencing the same issue viewing the site on both computers.

As of tonight, I cannot see the list of forums.

If you click on "Community" up top, then Forums, do you see the list?

Hi Dave ...

I just got on the computer tonight. I clicked on COMMUNITY, then on FORUMS and the result was the FORUM DISCUSSIONS, but not the list of forums that appeared on the navigation bar to the left before the upgrade.

Edited to add: Someone familiar to what is offered by this site, would be satisfied with that, but I think having the display of the various forums that are available here would make the site appear more valuable to someone who is visiting the site for the first time.

I'm confused because we never had a list of forums on the navigation bar on the left. We must be talking about two different things.

That's possible, Dave.

I've just remembered how I used to get to the list of forums available on the site. Your navigation bar that appeared on the left had a button labeled FORUMS and I could click on it.

That's where I saw the list of forums. I cannot remember if it included the discussion information until you opened the forum.

I still think the site is quite intuitive, but sometimes things just need to slap me in the face .. *Blush*

When I click on the Forums link, I see a list of Forums. The list also includes who made the last post in each forum and the date of the last post, but it is still the Forum list.

RoseBlush1 Lynn, have you customized your home page? I'm so technically challenged but I wonder if you need to re-do it again since you've upgraded from XP to Linux?

Over on the left of my screen I have a list of forums that I am watching it says I am watching 16 out of 100 forums. Isn't that the list she is speaking of?

Thank you, Lin. I did customize my home page, but really did not spend a lot of time on it. I got things so that they worked "well enough" and have been spending most of my time on other projects.

Part of the question in my mind was whether or not what I was seeing was due to the change from XP to Linux. It was not. I am glad I asked the question and confirmed that little bit of information.

I am finding I do like the change to Linux, but as usual, there is a learning curve.

I have to admit the other projects have been somewhat overwhelming, so even getting back to the computer has been quite low on my list of things to do.

This is a good site and I will play with the new upgrade ... when I have a working brain .. Hilarious!

Hi Larry,

No, I was looking for what I am calling the "master list of forums" which is all forums, which is found when you click on the FORUMS link under the COMMUNITY tab as Dave pointed out in his response to my question.

It's just been a long time since I searched that list and it looked different to me when followed his instructions.

I'll get up to speed on the functionality of the NGA site upgrade after I do some more work on my conversion to the new Linux computer.

@dave

Small issue in System Messages - It appears that a double closing bracket (or something) is messing up the link,

I may have found a bug Dave. Scroll down to the plant log by Kevalsha. The year is listed as 4000. Either a typo or a glitch????
If not, I'm really ancient.

I've noticed that this occurs if you enter the date incorrectly when adding an event (the only way I've gotten it to work is YYYY-MM-DD, as no Calendar widget displays for me).

@dave - is there supposed to be a Calendar widget/popup still for the date fields?

There is but I think Firefox doesn't support it. I'm going to have to change it to a pre-built solution.
