After weeks of watching the itoh duchesse de lorriane bud, I was rewarded with a beautiful bloom!

It's beautiful, I might add it to my collection of itohs, and I said no more yellow a while back.

First Arrival. This is the second year it has bloomed for me. The blooms are very short-lived--two to three days. By two to three days, I mean the plant starts flowering on day one, and by day four it is completely done. I wonder if other people have had the same experience?

Very beautiful, JimTim.
My first Arrival lasts fairly long, but it is in a little shade in the afternoon, and we were very cool when it bloomed.

Love the guardian of the peonies!! 🐶

Jim Tim, lovely peonies! Mine last several days-weeks if a bush is fully developed. I did not count days of life of a single flower. And in cool temperatures flowers last much longer.

Jim Tim...We had a heat wave of 85f and my Canary Brilliants itoh flowered and blew very quickly...I don't know if this is normal or not. From what I have seen in the forum it varies. Try reposting this in 2021 Itoh thread and see what people say...could just be the year/weather..
