And we all know how "new and improved" is these days.

The SU has had it up to *here* with the imbeciles at Camping World. He has given up on the awning for the big windows in the RV. All this crap was ordered in March of 2018. Ordered the wrong size of something. "We'll call you when it comes in". Fast foward 3 months............when I went up there to find out just what the hell was going on (because phone calls were ignored) I saw on the bottom of the sheet that maybe I was not supposed to see "forgot to order". Fast forward 3 more months when we took the thing up to CW to get the rest of the stuff put on.............no brackets. No time to get the correct ones before we left for Texas.........."call us when you get back and we'll put it on then". Called last week...........those that were there last year are no longer employed there. CW is now Gander Outdoors...........blah, blah, blah...................basically starting ALL OVER with this excretia. The SU told them........well, I don't think we all want to know what the SU told them..........I wasn't there whilst he was "visiting" with Nelson from the service department, but suffice to say we will probably not frequent CW/Gander, unless it is for a lawn chair that they would have IN the store and in stock. Sheesh. The RV sites all say avoid CW like the plague. We can attest to that.

Anna we had the SAME experience with a lousy window shade for the sliding door on the ERA .. called a bunch.. supposed to get back but it never happens. The spring sprung. I saw a YouTube with instructions ... they are the WORST. Had a new regulator put on propane .. then had a fill. Got on the road no more than 5 min and we smelled a big puff of propane! 😳😳😳 Pulled into a camping world .. waited TWO HOURS .. The guy comes out and REPRIMANDS us saying we filled it but left rhe valve open when filling..blah..blah.... blew it out. We waited for him to finish and then told him "WE" DIDNT DO CRAP....HIS OWN STAFF FILLED IT WHILE WE WERE WAITING

The FB group "RV Horror Stories" is chock-full of CW's "Give-a-damn's busted" and any RV built by Thor and/or their subsidiaries is pretty much crap.

We are pretty happy ( altho we may be green ) with the Grand Design. Its solid. Materials are good quality.. quiet.. steady under foot. decent storage .. it's a towable so no motor but every appliance, the slides, the tank washes... all work fine . The water system could not be better explained in the water closet..

My only complaint, I wish the fridge would not take so long to get to a safe temp when we first arrive..well another is that the ceiling vents automatically close when rains .. but the one in the bathroom does not. I have to stand on a tiny stool to reach it to close

That's a great feature. Ours don't close so if we're there we close them. Otherwise we have a wet bed and other wet areas.

And I learned the hard way that the awnings have an automatic dump. I ( of course) stood under the wrong corner
