RJ very beautiful! I know when you have amaryllis sometimes we have a tendency to just say red. But what we should say is RED!
It looks fantastic especially ' cause I think you have some purple near it!

Like Amaryllis in the winter for the color, but they are so much more spectacular outside in the spring and early summer!

Hi Sharon, no I do not stagger them, I just bring them out of the basement at the same time just add water, they seem to come up when they are good and ready. We had a cool spring, but I was able to get them out around the 2nd week in April. I leave them on my porch for approx 1 month to ease them into the spring. This is the first time that all of them have buds, I had a few that were on the smaller side and finally decided to rebud this year.
With the cooler weather the flowers really lasted for a long time. I have also found that they seem to do better with multiple bulbs in a pot, one pot has five bulbs, most have 3, I believe that it helps to prevent having soggy roots and rot from the watering.
After they are done blooming I just put the containers in with my hostas to do their photosynthesis thing.
