This is the first time that I have had a cybister bloom outside. These two Tiramisu bulbs have been in the ground since April 2011. It took six years for them to bloom. So I guess that there is hope for the rest of my cybister bulbs that are outside. Someday they may bloom. Hurray!

I have a large tub of Amaryllis that have bloomed year after year for me in pretty harsh conditions. Each one was a gift from my Mother -in-law over a period of many Christmas's. They are starting to re- bloom now. They are tightly packed into the container but never seem to decline with each year so I have decided not to divide them as long as they still seem happy!

Linda, a lovely pot of Amaryllis. They like being crowded so no reason to divide.

Linda, Thank You! We usually buy several to bloom at Christmas, and then in March I plant them in the yard. Finally the yard looks like it has different collections of them. This year some have bloomed normal height and some are very low, too much heat.
It is very neat that you have a Christmas collection, too!!
May you and your family be blessed with joy and peace!

Thank You! Sharon. I have no luck putting mine in the ground here. Pretty cool you can get them to survive in the ground in Texas!

Hoping your Easter is blessed as well. Angel

Your Apple Blossom is much pinker than mine - and a deeper colored pink.

Christie-- Mine have been in the ground outside for 3 to 4 years. Once I plant them outside they stay there,. They do not get dug back out. I have been doing that for over 5 or 6 years. I know the first time or two I bought Apple Blossom it was mislabeled. They bloomed red. But since them I have bought 3 or 4 more elsewhere, and in different years. They are all bright pink like my picture. I do not think I got that many mislabeled ones from different places that look similar. I would think the difference between yours and mine would be the growing environment and soil. Maybe it is the big difference in night and day temperatures mine experience outside. Yours looks to be indoor and grown in a pot. Maybe someone else would know why, I am not an Amaryllis expert. I just love them! Your bloom is pretty. May you have joy in your home and heart!
