Hetty,
I noticed you put into the plant data base under STAPELIA GIGANTEA a red flowered type.
This is a Stapelia Grandiflora I think. Anyway I like it and would like seeds if you have any?? I am over whelmed with the Gigantea type. I have lots of these to give away if any one wants them. Also that Agave lopantha quadricolor you have is a nice find. If it pups out, and you don't mind, please keep me in mind.
This spring when I start to take plants outside I will post list of plants that I want to give away. Some I had for years and no longer want due to new ones I purchased. Just no room for all. I don't have the heart to throw out. Some are expensive to buy.

I am always up for trades! The Agave lopantha quadricolor pups like mad so I am sure I will have some come spring.
I think the cactus you have in your post before the last one is also a Euphorbia but a crested form?
I'll verify the Stapelia grandiflora! Thanks.

I'll be up for succulent and cacti trades in the Spring, I'm sure. It's hitting the 20s here at night this week, down to 21º. They say we may have our first little bit of snow this morning but not sticking. Glare

Hetty,
That moster crested cactus is a cactus. Looks very simular to the one I saw on post 'Pictures from the cactus and succulent show here in Mérida' by extranjera.

Hetty,
A very easy mistake when you only have a picture to look at. It was grafted on a cactus base. It became top heavy and kept falling over. I just broke it off and rooted it on it's own. It grows short and fat just like me. Rolling on the floor laughing I really like the tall and thin ones through, just like most people. Crying

You're right, that looks a lot like the one at the show. It's a very odd plant, I like it a lot. All I could read from the card was that it was entered in the columnar cactus group.

I have adenium seedlings (4 to 6 months old) to trade for Easter and/or Christmas cactus. I grow them from seeds of 40 different flowers types. When going from seeds some will look like the parent plant and some not. Anyway, I looking to trade. Any interested? The image was when they were 4 months old. They are larger now!

Hola everyone :-)
Trading is absolutely what I am able to afford.
I'm just getting started with plants again, so it may be a while before I have anything to trade. Also, I probably need to learn how to mail/ship cuttings so that they aren't damaged.

Another issue is that I will have to wait until I have help packaging the trade cuttings when ever we decide to trade.

Mean-while, I am located in MD near Annapolis, so anyone near me is welcome to contact me and we could possibly trade something locally or I would be very willing to give any plants a home who need a place to live.

Stush2019,
Your cactus is beautiful and resembles Cereus fernambucensis f. cristate. At first glance I thought it might be Myrtillocactus geometricans crest, but with the rusty colored spines, I don't think it is.

I'd be interested in trading for some sansevierias in a couple of months when the temps stabilize here in Kentucky. I'm also interested in hoyas. I have philodendrons to offer in exchange and other tropicals.

Shirley,
My cactus may well be Cereus fernambucensis f. cristate. I didn't know and was told it might be Cereus peruvianus Monstrose. I do think you might be right. There is a difference between a monstrose form and a crested form. Hetty and Tee, do you here this. (I sent pieces to them). ID may be wrong. I cut so much off it that I call it stubby now. They grow back and more beautiful. Might have more to give out latter this year. I have some tall sans to repot and would want to find homes for. I expect shipping is going to be high with them being 4 ft. long. I know shipping tubes is high. I am always on the look out for clearance Sans in Wal-Marts and K-marts. If I see some I will pick them up for trades.

Got it. Honestly, it didn't look like Cereus peruvianus to me when I first looked at my piece, but like you say, it is a stub. Time will tell. Thumbs up
