We all had a great time. So nice to get out with friends for a few hours. JR came home with a ton of great stuff, he had a great time, too.

Well Jill you did it again. Thanks for all your organizing and creating opportunities for us all to gather. So glad so many could make it. Great to see you all in real life and swap seeds and stories and laughs and tears and hugs!

Have to say that were I a lot of decades younger I'd sure want JR to be my Valentine.
Lovey dubby And what a treat to visit with Button and Bobbin!
A big shout out to all who weren't present this time round and and a fond hope of crossing paths again, soon.

Sally and Mark are the best people to travel with I tip my hat to you.
Gita, I found those Milkweed seeds in with the plants you gave me. Thanks bunches.
Donna, your fig cutting is great.
David, those purple milkweed seeds should be here this week. Will send them on.
Francine, let me know how those Holy Basil seeds do.
And thanks to all who looked at my collected seeds and bags of fluff cause I don't have a clue what is what seed wise but I'm hopeful!

"bags of fluff" is about all you can do with some seeds.. I know I wasn't going to try separating those Joy Pye Weed specks from their fluffs! besides, Ma Nature plants them with fluffs...

Joyanna and I came home and crashed, too. We'd been thinking "movie night" but that turned into "go to bed early night!"

Hope everybody had a safe drive home!

You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. What do you do with rice hulls? --grow straw mushrooms? I really do not know, it is just a guess. My aunt in Indonesia grew straw mushrooms I think from whatever is left after the rice has been taken from the plants and I think the straw etc. were in bales and then burned. All I remember it seemed to me was a huge rectangular mound of burned straw, and lots of mushrooms growing on it.--Very exciting--but never asked how it was done. My mother used to make her own Indonesian soy sauce at home, but I do not remember whether she put any spices in the soy sauce---I knew she boiled the beans, put salt in it in the big vat, put it in the sun, also they were fermented but no idea when what happened and I also remember that she was boiling it, and put sugar in it and then sieved the sauce and fill the cleaned bottles. All fragments. Too bad, it would be interesting to know-

I've used rice hulls for years to amend the soil...just keeps it from becoming too compacted.
