M.A.S.H. was great but I have issues with comedy programs that in an attempt to be politically correct get serious and try to address societies problems. If I am watching a comedy, I want to laugh. Best TV comedy series ever, IMO, 3rd Rock From the Sun. Best actors, best writing, great premise. Wow. Gene

ZuZu - I also love making up lists. Do it all the time. I told my self I would not think of it as an addiction or strange until I found myself making up a list of my lists. Gene

My list of movies I will watch more than once is fairly short as I have the VHS or DVD.

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad World.
The Searchers
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
both Trinity movies
Quigley Down Under
Thunderbirds are Go
Today we Kill, Tomorrow We Die.
The Russian Specialist
Django the Bastard

My brother bought some Russian Sci-Fi DVDs awhile back and will watch one of them on occasion as it is not bad.

A couple of years back my cousin gave me a multi-pack of westerns which has about 100 films.
There are some in there truly interesting and some, like Gene Autry I cannot watch even if I skip most of it.
Some thing I noticed was some of the early black and white westerns showed just how brutal and violent the west was at times.
As the years went by the westerns got more and more tame till they turned into Roy Rogers and Trigger children's glop.

RGR for Why Him, with Bryan Cranston, Megan Mullally, James Franco and Zoey Deutch, did not want from just viewing the trailer and a previous review. Its not great film, but it has its moments, I smiled through most of the movie with a few outright laughs. Rude, crude and socially unacceptable, do not go if you cannot tolerate lots of vulgar language...however it was worth the $5.00 special rate. I go to movies to be entertained, I'm not going for a learning moment, if it happens so be it. Lots of tacky humor but ok. 3 1/2 shovels out of 5. Not suitable for anyone 15 and under.

I was talking about the movie, which didn't really make any attempt to address society's problems that I can recall. I did also enjoy the TV show, however, especially when they had background radio announcements by Seoul City Sue, who was my second-grade teacher in Seoul before she went over to the dark side. Miss Suh, as we knew her, was a Methodist missionary from Arkansas who married a North Korean and adopted his political views.

I guess this is as close to a list of favorites as I can come up with. While all might not be considered great movies I can watch them any time they are on. Also love all the old Planet of the Apes and Godzilla movies

Already had to add another. -- A Clockwork Orange.

It is really hard to choose! Stand By Me and The Shining would definately be on my list.
Others I love: Field of Dreams, Tootsie, The Princess Bride, A League of their Own, A Fish Called Wanda, Lord of the Rings and many more I can't recall at the moment. Those are all I can watch over and over.

Finished Season I of Versailles last night. Hope they make the new Season soon...so am going to proceed to Series of Unfortunate Events, so far started episode 1.

Have also finished The Magicians Season 1..glad to see Season 2 is coming soon!

Last night after finishing Versailles, I tried to watch the very first episode of Star Trek, glad to see it in Netflix. Just a little funny to see how technologically behind it was then. Glad they did not abort the show at that time after the pilot episode Hilarious! .

And now I love how Star Trek evolved, later versions of Star Trek, I am a Trekkie fan after all Big Grin

I really enjoyed The Magicians. I can't wait for season 2 (just another 10 days or so).

I agree on the Star Trek thing. Glad the looked past the quality of the pilot and let it continue. It really became a great show. One of my all time favorites. I couldn't imagine it NOT being done.

Started watching The Impossible but I kept dozing off, so repeated it this morning. Based on true story of one family who suffered during the Indian Ocean tsunami incident. A real sad event, and one will laud the tenacity of a person to live against all odds.

Also watched Odd Thomas which starred the late Anton Yelchin. A good supernatural thriller, with a bittersweet ending.
