@NJBob That last one really is Electric like, just glows. That is the best lime I have seen yet. You have a beautiful collection . These plants are tough and Hardy. I like to use them a lot . They look nice spread out thru the garden as a great exclamation point to break up the monotony of all the green in my garden

Rose1656. keep in a protected area over winter…many of them have survived a occasional crazy winter icy winters here due to bringing them in a covered protected area.

Yes, I've had more of my share of those fussy ones! I'm just not one to take special care of certain plants. I follow the label direction and done. I want plants that will grow and thrive in my gardens. I look for a good price on heuchera when I buy. Found a local place that sells them for $6, not a great loss if they die over winter.

Most huercs are pretty tough plants when established in planted areas. The best part and really why they have survived in my garden.. not weather issues as much as they are deer proof.. a big deal here. We have way to many deer and antelope that think my garden is there salad bar. The horses chase them out of their pastures but I think the horses are jealous of the deer because they have better access to the garden delicacies.

The nursery I get them from charges $8 for a gallon pot. I don't consider that to be a terrible loss if it does. I spend more than that on my potted annuals!

That's a good price! My $6 are quart size plants. I use to have such an addiction to these plants. I'll be looking for this ruffled one next year at my garden centers.

Those are good prices. No one seems to carry the quart sizes any more other then some box stores have Purple Palace. Might find a couple of 1 gallon Proven Winners at HD or Lowe's for 9 dollars, but garden centers are in the18 to 26 for 1 gallon pots.

It is the main reason I do not try as many anymore.

I probably shouldn't tell you that she'll be having her end of season sale in August, and everything is half priced!

At 4 dollars a pot I would be loading up on them.
